We became Scientists!! 🧑🔬
On Wednesday night, we had the pleasure to be joined by James from KWS, to learn all about crop breading within agriculture and beyond!! 🧑🌾
It was great to learn about the scale of the business, how they carry out the process of developing the crops and much more.🔬
We even had a go ourselves by carrying out an experiment where we extracted the DNA from raspberries. 🧫
Safe to say some of us should still stick to farming, but it was fascinating to see the process in person. 😅

🏆We are Winners🏆
Yesterday after a trip to Wales, we were announced the winners of The Forage Aid trophy at The National AMC 😁
This means this year we raised the most money for the Charity Forage Aid out of EVERY YFC club NATIONALLY!!!!!!! 🌍
This is an amazing achievement and our second time winning the trophy! 💪
Thankyou to everyone that comes to support our Annual Xmas Tractors Run, this wouldn’t be possible without you!! And a massive congratulations to all our fellow fantastic Harmston Members and family, too for organising the event and the constant effort and dedication to our club!!! 🐽💖
Over the weekend @lincsyfc held The BIG FAMILY FUN DAY!!! ☀️🍔🎊🎯🎳 and it was definitely an amazing day out!!!
From Tug of War, Bail Sack races, Best in Show Dogs, Karaoke, Mini digger challenges and even throwing sponges at The Lincs YFC County Chair and President, it was a brilliant day that all of us enjoyed!!! 🤩
Harmston was there on the Tin Can Ally stand, and it was great to see so many members and visitors there supporting us and the county throughout the day. 🫶

Last Night was a hole in one!! ⛳️
We headed The No Work Club in Lincoln, and had a very amusing and entertaining attempt at crazy golf 🤪 It was great to have a laugh, try something different and work on our golf skills…which definitely still need some work!! 😂
Overall it was great night and thank you to everyone what came along, can’t wait for next week! 🐽🫶

Tonight was an Annual Easter Egg Hunt around Harmston!!! 🔍🐣🍫🚶♀️
After a fully packed business meeting where we discussed a lot of exciting events coming up, we set off on our hunt around the village! 🔍
After looking for 20 clues and A LOT of steps later we finally claimed our winners!! 👑

On Wednesday night we headed over to @uncle_henrys_farmshop for an amazing tour!!
We were shown round the farm shop, bakery, butchers and got to learn about how all aspects of the business work and run including the amazing growth and development of the business over there 20 years of operation.
We got to finish the evening off in the coffee shop with a quiz some beautiful cake and sausage tasting!!🐷🚜🌾

✨charity month week one✨
This year our amazing county chair Jack has set up a charity month to raise money for lincs YFC and the Lincs and nots air ambulance.
For this first week Lincs YFC took on the chopper challenge traveling round the whole county with our decorated trailer🚜 on Monday afternoon Jack finished his run at the air ambulance HQ, with the young farmers there wave him in on the completion of the first challenge.
With our Harmston members that proudly helped build and decorate the trailer there to see it home!!

On Wednesday night we had an amazing talk from Corringham young farmer Alex Coggon
He spoke to us about his experience with farming photography and the amazing places he’s traveled round the world.
He bright in his photography equipment for us all to look at and spoke about the amazing work opportunities that farming photography has given him!
