The Harmoniemesse, Haydn’s last major sacred work, combines liturgical solemnity with dazzling orchestral writing empowered by his masterly use of the winds. [ARTE] "Les Quatre saisons à Venise" seront rediffusées sur @arte.tv le samedi 23 mai à 23h45, et le dimanche 7 juin à 18h40. A l’occasion du 300e anniversaire de la publication des Quatre Saisons, Théotime Langlois de Swarte et les musiciens du Consort ont choisi d’interpréter cette œuvre mythique à Venise, dans la ville même de Vivaldi. Dans cette interprétation sur instruments d’époque, ils nous invitent à redécouvrir les Quatre Saisons au plus près de ce qu’a imaginé Vivaldi, avec toute la dimension âpre et violente de cette œuvre iconique, son incarnation de la nature et de la force des éléments.
