TEXTURES OF SAPNAY Last week I had the incredible honor of documenting @kumbaph and its 1 year anniversary collab. Seeing these chefs, who champion our food, its roots and its culture had me incredibly elated. It felt like a love letter to our cuisine. Witnessing all that had me miss the hustle and flow of the kitchen. I live my restauranteur dreams through experiences like this haha! Thank you for the opportunity @tina.legarda Such an incredible honor.

In all my years as a food photographer, I am still in awe at all the people I have photographed. Never did I realize that I would be documenting their firsts, their challenges, their perseverance and passion for food and people. And today I witnessed the @michelinguide give honor to the same people i have had the honour of documenting. I am so happy for all of you and truly honored and humbled to have broken bread with you all. Wooo!!!!

This was one for the books. I've only ever heard of @yardbirdyakitori through friends, but to experience it firsthand was just incredible. More so at the hands of Matt Abergel. Thank you for inviting me @lorenzoiii.jpg To elevate such a simple food is such an incredible feat. Everything was familiar but also so different that it kept your tongue on its toes. My palette was filled with why, whats and hows; carefully analyzing why something so simple, tastes so complex...but not. HAHA I am at a loss for words. It was incredible to see Matt pushing the line. Amidst the smoke and chaos, everything was put out the pass in pristine condition. Getting that little extra thing, shaking your hand and getting that pose from you for the camera was another topping to that cake. Thank you for blessing the world with your food and your kindness, Matt. Thank you to you and your team! (I wouldve loved to meet you too @lindsayjang but i think my brother and I missed you by a few minutes!) And thank you to @izakayageronimo for hosting these wonderful people.

I first met Randy, also known as Piper in the Lego community, back when I first joined one of PhLug’s brickfasts in 2014. In most conversations with him, I would always be amazed with photos of his modular cities and creations he would have in his house. Fast forward to today, his collection has found a home in the Brickseum. A place where kids of all ages, ( and those at heart) can just immerse themselves in possibilities and creativity. I know they have much more planned for the space but seeing it as it is now is a incredible tribute to a toy that has given so much joy to kids and adults alike. Thank you Randy and to your family for bringing this to life!
