Earlier this month, I ran into Jaysen Clifft (@jlclifft ) and Hannah Locsin (@hannahvlocsin ), the husband and wife duo behind On the Plate Brooklyn (@otp.bklyn ) or OTP for short.
Focusing on in-season ingredients, OTP is a New American culinary concept that produces private dinners, events and pop-up with dishes that draw influence from Mediterranean and Asian cuisine, specifically Filipino.
Jaysen, with over seven years of training as a chef at Michelin restaurants in New York, leads their savory fare, while model slash pastry chef Hannah—who has walked the runways of Gucci and Miu Miu—punctuates each experience with sweets.
From Jaysen beating cancer in 2023 to the couple growing their relationship from roommates to partners in both business and love, OTP is a lesson in trusting the people around you and understanding that life is too short not to follow what you are truly passionate about.
