TODAY, the new documentary short Lifelines launches in New York City, kicking off a cross-country screening tour.
Directed by Hannah Rosenzweig and Robin Honan and co-executive produced by Olympic legend Allyson Felix, Lifelines follows families in New Jersey and Colorado navigating childbirth and unexpected medical emergencies â and shows what becomes possible when a paid family and medical leave program is in place.
The tour begins as weâre celebrating paid leave wins from Virginia to Colorado, and just weeks before legislators and advocates from 25 states gather in Washington to chart a path toward a 50-state strategy and federal action.
The momentum is growing.

Gloria Steinem has spent decades organizing, fighting for womenâs rights, and hosting talking circles in her home. At 92, sheâs still doing it, not only because it feeds her soul but also because itâs necessary. In 2026, we are fighting the same fight for our basic rightsâfor our bodily autonomy and our right to vote.
This week, @votemamalobby friendsâfrom 6 months to 92 years oldâgathered in @gloriasteinem âs living room to support our moms running up and down the ballot and to talk about how we are changing the political system. We heard from our mama @lbtforcongress , who is Chief Public Affairs Officer at the nationâs largest Planned Parenthood affiliate, a mom of a one year old, and the only Black woman running for Congress in a red-to-blue district.Â
This event was a reminder of why Vote Mama does what we do to break barriers and elect Democratic mamas: so that our babies donât have to fight these same fights.

A DOC NYC Film Festival appreciation post! Now that the 2025 festival has come to an end, I want to share my gratitude to the @docnycfest founders, programmers, staff, and filmmakers who made it a special, inclusive, and celebratory space for so many artists.
Itâs an huge feat to pull off as the LARGEST documentary film festival in the country. I have been lucky to be part of it twice with my films, including the very first festival!
