Story behind this one is that I played this song during our seemingly cursed road trip to Jasper with Rob and Alexei and it inspired us. It felt so nostalgic. Kinda like the sun reappearing through the clouds in the dead of winter. It’s a love letter to a friend no longer there, and an appreciation for the spirit that’ll always be around. Gratitude for being alive in the current moment and being able to hold on to that love always.
Posting this as a happy birthday to my friend and close collaborator on this ice and film journey we’ve been on @alexeimorita . Thanks for always being down for the adventure, and making it your own. Thank you also to @shawnmendes for writing this beautiful song.
Shot on @sonycanada fx3 + 14mm GM
Filmed/edited by me and coloured by @rzcinema :)
Ice isn’t just for skating, and frolicking isn’t just for grassy fields :) (safety note: this was in a shallow water area with no current, and we were in winter wetsuits and had an easy way back to shore, do not attempt without proper prep and team!)
Filmed joyfully by @jeffisy on @insta360
Happy women’s day so proud of us all !!!
SAFETY WARNING- these are not current ice conditions please do not go without proper immersion gear and cold water training!!!! We had wetsuits on under these dresses lol
A moment of flight
from a little journey I arranged in collaboration with @alexeimorita and @rzcinema

Cinematography&color by Rob Zawistowski
Filmed at Lake Abraham, AB in early December
:)
3 years of chasing, -17 C, 50km/h winds, no ferry running. Getting here felt like the Toronto equivalent of mountaineering @alexeimorita . Safety note below;
Filmed handheld on the FX3 w 14mm GM . Gimbal wouldn’t even turn on it was so cold
Safety precautions: we had a floatation device that could hold both of us + gear, throw rope and a tow line, lifejackets, and wetsuits + winter immersion gear on. We had an on land safety contact and notified the police marine unit of our location and our safety gear. We have years of cold water and ice safety training and actively go over our rescue plan. We check the ice frequently before proceeding. No ice is Safe ice, but there are safe ways to appreciate it. We are grateful to be able to share it :)
Sharing is caring! 🍦🐬🪨✨🌈@kittylever
inspired this 😍
@rich.nixx shoutout for filming this but mostly for also doing the climb😅⚡️⚡️
FYI safety note this hike is a class 4 scramble with a lot of exposure, we had helmets on for it! And no I am not skilled enough to do the actual climb in the skirt (yet)😇
