I skipped all of the Black Friday shopping weekend mayhem this year so classes came out a little bit later than usual.

It was a magical weekend at the Ware Center with @manual_cinema 's The Magic City! From a lobby transformed into a whimsical cardboard city filled with drawings from our young guests, to free kids' crafts and activities with campus and community organizations, to a live show that brought together puppets, miniatures, and film to tell a moving story about chosen family, to a Q&A that pulled back the curtain on the magic of live theatre, it was a Saturday to remember.

Hey Donut Lovers!! We Are doing ORCA-tober again this October @doughbellylancaster ! In honor of our sweet late kitty Carl.
50¢ from every donut ordered in the month of October will be donated to @orca.lancaster . We will be combining it with a basket of treats and donations that the kids @handworkhouse made during Animal Friends Camp this Summer!
So we will also have a basket for any other ORCA donations you want to share when you pick up your donuts each week. 🍩😻
🧶 Help us create Lancaster City’s FIRST FENCE MURAL made entirely out of YARN!
🌼 We will be filling the outside fence of our soon-to-be Community Education Garden (Location- 285 Conestoga St, directly next to the Compost Bin) with blooming flowers and giant veggies! The plan is for our yarn garden scape to first be installed during our SoWe Fall Earth Day event, and continue to grow/expand over the next year - just like our garden!

🧶We are looking for crocheters and knitters to make granny squares and/or flowers of different colors, shapes, and sizes (simple patterns included in our bio and story)! You are invited to make as many squares/flowers as you’d like before the event AND/OR join our knitting/crochet circle during the event!
🧵This epic art project is a collaboration between SoWe and @handworkhouse ! If you have brightly colored yarn you’d be willing to donate - please drop off at the SoWe office! The thicker the yarn, the better!
