Went sky fishing with my pals a few weeks ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Here are a few of the highlights we found !
Hypoprepia fucosa (painted Lichen moth)
Megalopyge opercularis (Southern Flannel moth)
Harrisimemna trisignata (Harris three spotted moth)
Fireflies, snake sheds, waxing moon and more !
Piece from my personal collection that I’ve had for several years now. I wish you could really see just how massive it is but the photo doesn’t do it justice. Piece came from an old hunters estate sale.

Join us on Saturday, September 13 at The Hive Community Clay Gallery from 5-9 for the opening reception of Holy Spaces—an examination of the sacred. Free entry.
Is the sacred found in the natural world, in small daily ritual practice, or in observing one’s body as a temple? We are featuring works that explore the ways in which we connect to the divine.
In our current resurgence of religious nationalism, reactionary populism and anti-intellectualism, what does it mean to create space for awe or to engage in worship? How do the non-normative members of our social spaces connect to the ritual of now, the small moments of prayer or grief and afterlife? How do those aligned with more traditional faiths engage with a political climate using the authority of holy spaces to demonize the “other?”
This exhibition features artwork with an emphasis on ritual, remnants, transformation, spirituality, and personally sacred objects.
“the lion and the lamb” by @alicekayw , “Psalms 103:6” by @hallowed.bones , and “will i ever lay the idea of home to rest?” by @transfunctional featured in the flier.

Legends are written in the Stars:
What an absolute gift @thistlethistle was to this world. Though I was only an online admirer, I as well as so many have been inspired by Katie Greenwood’s Ross’s work in all its forms.
Cassiopeia is currently in the night sky, nestled beside it is an unnamed group of stars in just the right formation to spot a Thistle.
