@cinedans festival Amsterdam in the Poetic moves international section this Sunday March 28th at 6pm.
“In our neighborhood, lives a rooster. In our neighborhood, lives a sadist slaying rooster!"
Based on Nizar Qabbani’s poem الديك (The Rooster), this dance creation experiments with the Baladi form to portray the journey of a dictator. A story of an innocent childhood’s rise to power, their relationship with the feminine, and how this always leads to inevitable downfall.
