Showreel 2024
Incredibly proud to share an updated body of work, an evolution that speaks to our growth and the beauty of the creative process.
Our direction over the last 18 months has been to spend time exploring our purpose and the intention behind our process.
This year has taught us to be patient and pure, to create without boundaries and to produce meaningful stories that speak to our values.
To our community, collaborators, and partners, your support is endless.
Showreel 2022/2023
Presenting our first showreel - a body of work that speaks to the multitude of projects we’ve been privileged enough to produce.
Before we share anything new this year, we thought it would be meaningful to look back a few years and reflect on the journey. So overwhelmed by the growth, not only in the quality of our work, but in the way we’ve been able to refine our offering and understand our identity.
Our showreel is a nod to our teams passion, creative ability and the obstacles we’ve had to overcome. Every frame is a reminder of the incredible network of creatives we’ve been fortunate enough to work with, the stories we’ve been able to create and the community of people that are always tryna put us on. We have a lot to be grateful for and so many special people to thank for the impact they’ve had on our creative process.
Overflowing with love rn so sharing this with ya’ll feels mad special. Here’s to more blessings in 2024.

An intersection of movement, identity and a sound that embodies the silhouette.
Inspired by the hybrid era of the late ‘90s and early 2000s. Inverted colours, digital distortion and high contrast. Integrating components of brutalism, within a restrained setting, to depict the feeling of controlled chaos.
In honour of The Bubble, the Nike Air Max 90 Neon. 26.03.

Klop Klop
Identity: A Brightly Coloured Archive
A debut exhibition by @halfandhalve
curated by @anelisamangcu
Exhibition opening
21 June
14h00 — 17h00
17 Jamieson Street, Gardens
Under The Aegis, Cape Town
Just as brightly coloured as its people, the Cape Minstrel Carnival, more commonly known as the Kaapse Klopse, is a grand and defiant expression of creativity and resilience that has been celebrated for over a century.
For coloured people, the Kaapse Klopse is a symbolic message of self expression, embodying a vibrant legacy exemplified by it’s complex entanglement with colonial conquest and the apartheid regime.
Klop Klop is a visual ode to coloured identity, both celebratory and reflective, offering insight into the artistry of the tradition. Every face, gesture, and adornment tells the story of a community in pursuit of creative expression, joy and recognition within the broader landscape of South Africa.
The body of work explores themes of identity as performance, legacy in community, and the evolution of artistic expression and craft amongst coloured people.
Klop Klop stands as both a visual archive and a critical inquiry into how artistic expression can be a language of both defiance and belonging.
We’ll be showcasing sixteen artworks alongside a documentary film, both of which exist as the foundation for a long term, multifaceted project that will anchor continued research, community engagement and the preservation of tradition.
Please join us in celebration - this Saturday, 21st June 🥁
