Hey yall!!! Logging on to officially announce my first EP of demos is now released out into the world!!!! 🌱 sprouts 🌱 is a little collection of songs I’ve been working on the last few years as I found my Paisley Pants sound, honoring my country roots. For now, just stripped down to their pure essence: just me and the uke. They’re still growing into their full form, as @blk.plays.bass has been helping me grow my garden (a fully produced EP with these + more coming later this summer!) They never got the chance to meet and passed away a couple years apart, but their birthdays were one day apart (Nanny April 29th and Nettie April 30th (happy birthday Nettie 🌻)) Three years ago today, Hailey and I traveled to Albuquerque for a close friend’s wedding. To honor our grandmothers’ birthdays, we bought their favorite flowers (Nanny white roses and Nettie sunflowers) and trekked to the top of the Albuquerque mountains to lay them to rest, and to give them each the chance to watch the sunset with their new best friend. Since then, we’ve made it a tradition to leave sunflowers and white roses wherever we go, and Hailey even wrote an absolutely beautiful song called “flowers on a mountainside” about our grandmothers to document the occasion. I had the pleasure to sing co-lead vocals on it, and them writing about our families is one of the sweetest things anyone’s ever done for me. Yup. That’s right. Today I turn 29….. I know, I KNOW. It’s the oldest a person can be before they reemerge on their 30th birthday… fresh, flirty AND thriving! But before all that, first we must celebrate the end of times. Pour one out for my 20’s at our show at @themontrosesaloon tonight as we reflect how the frick we even got here 🤷🏼 It’ll be a jam-packed night with some of my fav peeps performing their bomb-ass music before I close out the night, crooning to you late night cowboys.
