Iām going to miss these people and this show
(we will never see each other again ā I have blocked them all on social media)
I feel like often as actors weāre so focused on chasing the next gig that we donāt always get to savor the moment weāre in and the art weāre making at that particular time and place. I will be forever grateful that I loved every second of making Streetcar (I DO NOT CONDONE THE ACTIONS OF STANLEY KOWALSKI).
Tennessee Williamsā writing is a crackling, rich, and layered gift and I am genuinely honored to have been able to work on this with such an exquisite, irreplaceable group of people.
Thanks to my fake sister-in-law @hailey.pants and my fake wife (we have a completely healthy and non-toxic relationship) STELLAAAA @elyna.mellen for being two of the coolest, most clever, most skilled, and most fearless people Iāve ever met, and for stealing every scene because youāre just STARS
Thanks to @gonna_go_543 for being my bestie who sometimes strangles me
Thanks to @deedeelogan287 for actually punching me in the face (see above ā I deserved it)
Thanks to this whole incredible cast, especially @kimmydartist for giving me a Kit Kat
ENORMOUS thanks to everyone who came!!
And thanks to Wayne for trusting me with this role.
For such a harrowing story, we had a shitload of fun. I know this experience is not repeatable but thatās part of what makes it so precious. Love you guys ā¤ļø
A.T.H.E.N.A. stands for:
A: How many
T: Of our coffee mugs
H: Do you have
E: In your car
N: Put them back
A:
2 years of clowning around with the light of my life ā¤ļø
2 years later and @athens341 learned how not to spill her hot chocolate everywhere.
(Edit: I donāt know how to get that 3rd picture out of there so just pretend the cat isnāt there, Iām serious)
Tbh I really couldnāt enjoy a movie without Athena asking a question 10 seconds before they explain it. Idk how I did it before. Happy birthday to this lovely, kindhearted whirlwind. Iāll get your cane for you, you fossil.
Plus swipe to see what had @athens341 saying āWait you have to take a picture of me with thisā
Weird to be doing a job where I wonāt be running around in sparkly tights anymore. Medieval Times didnāt let me keep a horse... but I did keep some incredible friends. Gonna miss seeing their dumb amazing faces every day š“š°
Cons of coming back to Bloomington for a weekend: too many stores with locally-sourced organic food options within walking distance.
Pros: everything else ā¤ļø
I missed my people HARD. (Ft. 3 friends who canāt take a good picture in the fire tower to save their lives)
My dad, Jay Kohlmeier, Pierre the Cook, is a wellspring of kindness and humility. Heās an exemplar to me of how to be a man, and how masculinity can come from wisdom and compassion rather than aggression. One day I hope to be half as good as him (and maybe as tall). I love you dad ā¤ļø
