Saturday April 4th I’m teaching another free volvelle workshop at Parkway central library! There is no registration for this one, seats are limited & first come first admitted.

💥Some favorite sketchbook spreads from 2025 💥I have been struggling figuring out how to share full pages of my sketchbooks, a large part of my practice where the writing is an important part of the compositions but is often more personal than I’d like to share on the internet. For now I’ve done some funny redacting that is maybe not the most successful, but in 2026 I’d like to focus on making with less pressure on absolute perfection so hello the year of the horse! 🐎 🧡🐎

Our Book Structures class today had the spectacular good fortune of learning from Hannah Moog. Hannah’s talk included such gems as: “editioning is attractive because it allows you to make an army of a thought or feeling.” Thank you, Hannah, for sharing your process with us, showing us imaginative book forms, and offering advice on the realities of life as a working artist.
Hannah Moog is an artist and illustrator based in Philadelphia, PA. She graduated with a BFA in General Fine Arts and a minor in Book Arts from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2021. Hannah works in a variety of mediums to bring her whimsical characters into the physical world. Often utilizing book arts and garments to do so. She makes humorous, intimate and interactive work with the intention of immersing her audience in her imagined world full of mysterious but caring characters. Her work is influenced by folk art, quilting traditions and hugs. She has been an studio intern at the Women’s Studio workshop, an apprentice at Bread and Puppet Press and at the Fabric Workshop and Museum. In 2023 she participated in residencies at Penland School of Craft, the Wassaic Project, and Arrowmont School of Craft.
