May workshops I’ve organised happening at @groundgallery as part of the @altpridehull Existence is Resistance exhibition. Mixed media print workshop with @artby_emilynunns on 16/05 12-2pm pwyc all materials provided (ticket link in my bio), I’ll be leading a plant and bird identification walk starting at Ground on 17/05 from 12-2pm, I’ll be leading a collage workshop at Ground on 19/05 from 4-7pm, and the brilliant @bellatrixbleu will be giving a chair acro basics workshop that is not to be missed (18+ ticket link in my bio)

Monday 18th May 2026 we welcome @osgled_ to Ground! Bringing something ‘Welsh ethereal bassy reverby’ - this will be a brill start to the week.-Doors are at 7:30pm (after InsideOut art club) and donations are very welcome on the door.

FREEBIES!! Some of the wonderful artists have provided free stuff you can take away from the exhibition. There’s merch from @chopkin92, stickers from @khaote.creates, and zines with stickers from @littlewaterdoodles - and I’ve included a pic of the sweet little vape rat that Khaote gave me as a thank you for letting them join the exhibition make sure you get down to @groundgallery when we’re open to see the Existence is Resistance exhibition I’ve curated in collaboration with @altpridehull and @lastpicktheatre and snag yourself some awesome freebies from cool local artists!

I am still reeling with gratitude for everyone who came to the launch party for the Existence is Resistance exhibition on Saturday and for all the artists for contributing and for all of the wonderful performers!! Huge thank you to @marshallphotography.hull for taking photos at the launch party and also to @doodle_demon for running an all day workshop to develop a collaborative piece for the exhibition. Please come and see our queer art!

Apart of alt Pride x Ground @calamity_satire is running a series of sewing techniques Doing a strain making workshop then, follows by a packer and pads making workshop.Dropping and walking by is fine! You don’t have to be there all day!!For both they are made fromdenim just bring in some scrap denim or an old pair of jeans!

We had a great weekend at Ground…-Friday evening we had the first Lent Ears, an open-mic night by Listen With Others. Thanks to performers and players and the people who came to watch. Listen With Others happens every first Friday of the month - message for more info.-Saturday we opened for @hullopenstudios_ and showed things that our studio holders do. @doodle_demon was inviting visitors to leave their mark on a piece of work for the Existence Is Resistance exhibition. The exhibition had a launch party on Saturday evening with lots of people coming out to see some wonderful performers. Thanks to @onyx.o.x - @lastpicktheatre - @altpridehull for putting this work together - and double thanks to everyone who joined us.-The exhibition will be on the walls for 2 months - until 30th June 2026 - opening times are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays 12-4pm (except 2nd June). Please message to arrange a viewing appointment if you can’t make those dates/times.-Slide 2 @onyx.o.xSlide 5+6 @marshallphotography.hull
