This is what I look for in dot behavior. The dot returning exactly where it left from and returning as fast as it left at. This should be the goal of “recoil control/management”. In fact, you’re not really “controlling” anything. It’s a matter of “allowing” recoil to happen instead trying to force the gun not to.
I’m not concerned with where the dot goes (how high, what direction, etc.) and I’m most definitely not trying to track it during recoil. I’m only concerned with how it’s returning
How well the gun returns is predicated on your physical structure behind it and the visual component. Look where you want the gun to return to and ALLOW it to do just that. Anything more than that creates issues
If the gun isn’t returning correctly you need to start experimenting with things. Grip pressure, arm extension, weight bias etc. until you figure out what gets the behavior under control.
