April is BC Construction Month — a time to recognize the people, projects, and partnerships that build our communities from the ground up.
At Greyback, we’re proud to be part of this industry and to be participating in the Lunchbox Challenge once again. Thank you @thisisbcca , a great way to celebrate the hardworking crews behind the scenes. This year's lunch was enjoyed by the team at the BC Housing project in OK Falls.
Here’s to the builders, the problem-solvers, and everyone who helps shape the places we live and work. 👷♂️

The most important parts of a project are often the ones you never see. Beneath every structure is a foundation built on careful planning, hard work, and countless unseen hours. It’s what lies below the surface that makes everything above it possible.
Throwback to one of Greyback’s key contributions on the W.R. Bennett Bridge project — the graving dock site.
This site laid the groundwork (literally) for the bridge’s floating components. Once each pontoon was completed, the flood gates would open and it would make a short trip down Okanagan Lake into its final position.
In 2022 the Rutland SoHo condominium building was built. This building in Kelowna consists of a 2-storey concrete semi-below-grade parkade podium with 4-storeys of light-frame timber condominiums above. ROV worked with the developer and contractor to develop an efficient ‘tanked’ parkade design due to the local water table elevation being higher than the bottom level of parking.
The result was a design that was efficient in its cost and use of materials while maintaining the watertightness required in the design. The SoHo Condominiums provide 100 homes to Kelowna’s Rutland community.

Today, Greyback had the pleasure of taking part in the Women in Skilled Trades Symposium, hosted in Kelowna BC. Our team members partnered up with STEP (Skilled Trades Employment Program) for a panel discussion, sharing insights on how we can build more inclusive opportunities and inspire and support the next generation of women in construction.

Greyback is once again honoured to participate in the #lunchboxchallenge to celebrate our industry by hosting a lunch for our crew.
This year, we set up a wonderful lunch spread from @tonysmeatspenticton and @saveonfoods at our Greyback Prefabrication shop - a new project/team as of January 2025. The 8200 sqft indoor facility employs 12 full-time workers and is equipped with custom framing tables, an auto-saw, and cranes.
