Hello you lovely lot…
It’s with a heavy, yet excited and optimistic heart that after six years James and Niall have decided to move on from our Elm Grove location and into a new space that reflects how we want to operate moving forward.
We are closing down the Elm Grove shop. James will be moving into a new space in the south lanes (more details to be announced) and Niall will be joining James very occasionally as he makes some changes to his work life balance and takes a step back from the hair industry.
We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone so much for making this possible over the last 6 years. Through the ups and downs we’ve gone with the ebbs and flows of life and are ready to move forward in a progressive way with our lives.
This is not a goodbye, it’s a see you later!! 😘

As of April 1st As Above So Below on Elm Grove will cease to exist 😤 James’ last day will be March 31st and Niall’s will be March 7th. Rumours suggest the new space will be open early April?! 🤔

James is the founder of AASB. With almost 20 years of experience in the hair industry, he is a great all round haircutter. He loves really leaning into his specialty of beard trims, working with the natural flow of the hair, long scissor cuts with short bits and building a connection with his clients.
Talk to him about - Music, food, different sticks he’s found in the wild this week, sea moss and saunas or just vent whatever you need too and he’s all ears :) 🖤

We have a new Logo!
We’ve spent some time recently thinking a lot about what’s happened so far on our journey and what we want to accomplish moving forward.
We opened originally as ‘Us Barbershop’ back in 2020 with 2 other guys. As most of you know - that didn’t work out. Me and Nige have been putting our heads together for the last couple years, coming to grips with running the shop and changing things for the better.
With this being said - we’ve done a lil rebranding aaaaaand that’s not all - some very exciting things being announced soon!
In the meantime, massive thank yous to everyone that chooses to come to the shop. We are so grateful for you!

Happy 8th birthday to Mabel and happy 3rd birthday to Paul! (Scroll for Mabel puppy pics)
It’s Mabel’s birthday today and Paul’s is actually next week but I had a chat with them about it and we decided to have them on the same day (mainly to make sharing birthday treats easier!) haha
I can’t believe Mabel is 8 years old! I still remember so clearly holding her at 4 weeks old and collecting her at 8 weeks. We’ve been through lots together, a couple serious relationships, 5 houses, multiple cars, 2 shops etc etc etc
We’ve had Paul with us for almost 2 years now as well and they’re best friends. They cuddle, play fight and are great guard dogs at the shop (well Paul maybe a bit too much lol). Mabel is the best big sister Paul could ask for.
