Spent a couple of days creating and painting this bespoke sign for Clickafloor's showroom in Worthing.
This was a big challenge for me, I was up against, time, light and freezing temperatures. But more importantly this was my first sign since my Dad's passing last November, and I had got it into my head that I couldn't do it anymore, that my hands wouldn't work and anxiety had set in big time.
Big thanks to Will and Michael for being so patient and understanding with me during that difficult time. They made me feel super comfortable and ready to get back at it again, and realise everything was fine.

Designed by @faux.gh0st , I hope I was able to do it justice!
The gradient is made up of lots of tiny dots to create the stippling effect of the original design, I think it turned out well and gave it some depth.
If you find yourself on Elm grove in Brighton, go take a look, maybe pop in for a trim, really great place, and really great guys! (You might be lucky and get a glass of prosecco 😉)

I forgot to post that super secret commission from a little while back!
A lovely commission for friends!
But I will say one of the hardest jobs I've had to do in a while, with not much time to do it I had to re learn how to use a dip pen. Spent hours and days drawings O's and S's.
The paper was beautiful but not at all helpful!
I learn a lot on every job and this was no different.
I'm afraid I was too stressed and worried about fucking up so didn't even think about documenting it, so this is all I have, but I think it turned out great.

Love certainly was in the air this summer.
Here's a lovely and totally unique commission I had for an 'order of wedding ceremony' sign.
The sign was made up of three of the grooms skateboards mounted onto a bracket.
They were scratched, dented and gnarly, so took some serious sanding to get the surface paint ready. But I didn't want to lose all of that character, all of those memories and that texture, so I removed some of the paint to expose the original colour of the boards.
The Peonies (as requested by the bride) were a fun experiment for me, coming up with ways to make them look vibrant and alive and not just like a static two dimensional picture. I found them quite mesmerising to look at after a while.
I love personal projects like these because they have more than one purpose, and they become a lovely keepsake and a cherished memory.
