_________________________________________________ About the Artist | Lavender Wong Lavender Wong graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and is the co-founder of Ware Home Ceramics Studio. Working primarily with clay, her practice explores how objects hold relationships and memory. Through the tactile intimacy of ceramics, she investigates fragility, repair, and renewal—reflecting on how materials can become vessels of lived experience. About the Studio | Ware Home Studio Ware Home is a ceramics co-creation studio founded in 2023. The name “Ware” refers both to ceramic wares and to the idea of where the heart resides. The studio functions as a shared space for making, experimentation, and learning. It welcomes exploration and even failure, recognising that every ceramic object can become a vessel for stories, emotions, and human connection. _________________________________________________ Repaired Remnants: The Collection 殘件修復圖鑑 Lavender Wong Solo Exhibition 黃學容個人作品展 ● 11–25 April 2026, Mon-Sun, 10:00–18:00 ● ● ● ● 26 April 2026, Sun, 10:00–16:30 ● ● ● 開幕 Opening ● ● ●12 April 2026, Sun, 16:30–18:00 ● ● ● 地點 Venue ● ● ●The Bridge+ Living Art Space ● ● ● ● G/F, 82–84 Apliu Street, Sham Shui Po ● 深水埗鴨寮街82-84號地下 ● ● ● 免費入場 Free Admission ● ● ● 詳情及登記 Details&Registration: link in bio _________________________________________________ 資助 Supported by: 香港藝術發展局 Hong Kong Arts Development Council 香港藝術發展局支持藝術表達自由,本計劃內容並不反映本局意見。The Hong Kong Arts Development Council supports freedom of artistic expression. . _________________________________________________ Repaired Remnants: The Collection 殘件修復圖鑑 Lavender Wong Solo Exhibition 黃學容個人作品展 ● 11–25 April 2026, Mon-Sun, 10:00–18:00 ● ● ● ● 26 April 2026, Sun, 10:00–16:30 ● ● ● 開幕 Opening ● ● ●12 April 2026, Sun, 16:30–18:00 ● ● ● 地點 Venue ● ● ●The Bridge+ Living Art Space ● ● ● ● G/F, 82–84 Apliu Street, Sham Shui Po ● 深水埗鴨寮街82-84號地下 ● ● ● 免費入場 Free Admission ● ● ● 詳情及登記 Details&Registration: link in bio _________________________________________________ 展覽製作團隊 Exhibition Credits 藝術家 Artist | 黃學容 Lavender Wong @grass_vender 視覺設計 Visual Design | 李芷淇 Kiki Lee @kikilee_records_ 數位典藏 Digital Archive | 何欣恩 Elly Ho @hyy_yy_ 施灆 Major Sze @just_some_major_art 公眾連結 Public Engagement | 陳曉楹 Janet Chan @janetchanhy 社區夥伴 Community Partner | The Bridge+ Living Art Space @the_bridge_plus 資助 Supported by: 香港藝術發展局 Hong Kong Arts Development Council _________________________________________________ 香港藝術發展局支持藝術表達自由,本計劃內容並不反映本局意見。The Hong Kong Arts Development Council supports freedom of artistic expression. _________________________________________________ Two week after the exhibition, looking back at the making process. In <Repaired Remnants: The Collection>, many details came from small observations—how clay can approximate different material qualities, and how a missing part can still feel connected to the original object. The wear of wood, the aging of plastic, the lightness of paper, the fibres of rattan, the oxidation of metal— these material characteristics are translated into the language of ceramics. Rattan surfaces are recreated using plant ash, leaving a dust-like trace; metal is treated with iron oxide to evoke metal oxidation; paper is reinterpreted by mixing fibres into porcelain and forming it thinly. Each ceramic fragment is an observation and reconstruction of the original object.

Link in bio: /#/home _________________________________________________ Repaired Remnants: The Collection is a digital archive system built from scratch over the course of a year. It documents objects left behind by closed shops and urban transformation. Through 3D scanning and detailed documentation, each fragment is transformed into a readable archive. Through both Map and Collection modes, viewers can explore these objects from spatial and material perspectives, reinterpreting the era they belong to. The map marks closed shops across the city, allowing users to zoom in and discover multiple objects left at each location. Alternatively, the collection mode enables browsing by district or material, revealing patterns of wear and traces of use. These absences have not disappeared, but are preserved in another form. This is a record of disappearance, and an evolving system. You are invited to explore the archive, or share objects you have kept. The owner, Hung Chi-chung, originally came from Nan’an in Fujian and worked in Hong Kong’s garment factories after arriving in the city. When the garment industry moved north in the 1990s, he took over a friend’s herbal shop and returned to his dream of practising medicine. Near the age of fifty, he successfully passed the Hong Kong Chinese medicine licensing examination and became a registered practitioner in 2000. For many years, he treated local residents in the shop, charging only for the medicine and never consultation fees. The shop witnessed the everyday life of old Kowloon City during the Kai Tak Airport era. It closed in 2025 as urban redevelopment reshaped the district.

The studio functioned as both a teaching space and a creative workshop, where the founder shared his extensive research on glazes and ceramic techniques developed through overseas study. Covering around 5,000 square feet, it nurtured many pottery enthusiasts and emerging artists over the years. As he approached retirement, Mr. Lai chose to bring the studio’s operation to a close. For many students, Arthome had long served as a “second home,” holding both learning and making, and witnessing the growth of Hong Kong’s grassroots ceramic community.
