As Frieze LA week comes to a close, I’m reflecting on the power of art as connective tissue — bringing people together, reminding us there is still beauty amid chaos, and creating space for both difficult conversations and collective joy. Thank you to @friezeofficial for including my perspective in highlighting artists who do this work so powerfully(see link in bio). The piece also shares some personal news: I’ve recently launched CHA ADVISORY, a brand and cultural strategy practice operating at the intersection of brand, art, and culture — rooted in this same belief in art and culture’s connective power. After more than two decades across fashion, luxury, technology, and most recently the museum world, I’m now advising brands and cultural organizations on positioning, partnerships, and narrative development that build meaningful relevance and engage audiences in ways that are both commercially impactful and culturally credible. This next chapter feels like a natural evolution of the work I feel passionate about. If this resonates, I’d love to chat! šŸ“·: @markleibowitzpictures Logo: @lilyludford_ @azelle_nyc @maia.agency

My @friezeofficial picks ✨ Incredible to experience some of the best art from around the world brought together under one roof. Some highlights include @maia_ruth_lee , whose deeply personal works blend painting, sculpture, and found materials to explore themes of migration, identity, memory, and resilience.

Last week we had a family outing to preview the new David Geffen Galleries at @lacma . What an incredible addition to Los Angeles’ cultural landscape and beyond, led by @picturepilot ’s vision - 20 years in the making! From the sweeping architecture over Wilshire blvd by @peterzumthorarchitecture to the meandering galleries that highlight both contemporary works with antiquities in unexpected ways, it feels expansive yet intimate. Looking forward to coming back, staying a while and getting lost in the beauty of it all. Congratulations to the entire museum team on this feat!

We’re all clearly big fans of @jonasbrwood — and šŸŽ¾šŸŽ¾. Caught this moment of everyone taking the exact same photo at the same time šŸ˜†. It was fun to see this show on the heels of just coming back from Indian Wells @bnpparibasopen (see last slide @djokernole in action)! On view @gagosian through April 25.

On the last day of Women’s History Month, highlighting the work of @samiahalaby , who pioneered digital art among many other things. In the ’80s, she bought one of the early personal computers, the Amiga 1000, and taught herself how to code to create what is known as ā€œkinetic artā€ā€”computer-generated painting in motion. I got to meet her and experience this art making at the recent @makingtheirmarkorg forum, along with music from the Kinetic Painting Group. Swipe to the end where we all hop on stage and dance to this music with Samia, celebrating women and our community ā¤ļø

My forever role model and mentor @therealdvf @dvf hosted a lovely luncheon honoring all the female nominees of @theacademy (which I help inaugurate many moons ago with Diane). You make magic happen everyday with your words, energy and kindness. Grateful to know you and love you. ā¤ļø

Great to see the evolution of @lauren_quin_s work! Her incredible mark making vocabulary really makes the paintings come alive and where paint becomes more than itself.

Solo show of @zenobialee_ @seaviewla . I love the way she monumentalizes everyday objects, elevating them into powerful markers of Caribbean diasporic culture. The ordinary becomes memory, identity, history.

Discovering @kengunminn ’s work. The layered surfaces with rich embroidery woven into fantastical nature scenes is absolutely mesmerizing. Go see it @nazariancurcio
