Перформанс «О тайне устройства мира и неуловимости мироздания» где: склон над Ереваном у телевизионной башни координаты: 40.164782, 44.527344 когда: 10 мая с 17:50 Монолитное здание храма тысячелетних божеств гудит и вибрирует. Верховный бог Арамазд негодует, во что превратили мироздание его дети: Ваагн, Анаит, Нане, Михр и Астхик. Операторы божеств — пятеро перформеров, совместно со зрителями, пройдут весь цикл сборки реальности, чтобы ощутить мир-как-целое, его неохватность и нелинейность. Датчики движения будут считывать танец богов и преобразовывать его в звук, который вместе с окружающей средой станет музыкой реальности. Перформеры, зрители, звуки, пространство, соберутся в многомерное тело, кишащее жизнью тысяч связей и закономерностей, которых глупо было бы пытаться догнать, поймать и постичь. Сейчас перед нами остро стоит вопрос о том, чтобы перевезти в Ереван 5 костюмов богов из армянского мифа об Арамадзе, которые сейчас находятся в Тбилиси. We need help transporting costumes We are preparing a group performance in Armenia with live music and costumes by @mmio.re . It’s a fairly ambitious project that we’re really eager to bring to life. And to make it happen, we need your help! We are running this project independently and do not plan to charge any fee for the event. Right now, we’re facing the urgent task of transporting five costumes of the gods from the Armenian myth of Aramadze to Yerevan; these costumes are currently in Tbilisi. If you or someone you know is traveling from Tbilisi to Yerevan after May 1 and would like to help transport them, please message @goricolo or any of us. We will drop off and pick up the costumes from any location convenient for you. We would be extremely grateful for any help, including sharing this post! Butoh Class Theme: NOT SERIOUS, BUT SERIOUS Aēr Place of Light: 73/32 Mikheili Tsinamdzghvrishvili St. January 25, 5-7 p.m. Price: free (donations welcome) In the last class I will teach in Georgia, let's have some fun and stop taking butoh so seriously for a moment. The problem with any endeavor at some point is getting bogged down in the quicksand of (self-)conditions and (self-)limitations, due to never-stopping birth and consolidation of once liberating ideas. At such moments, it is necessary to perform a cleansing procedure of decluttering in order to prepare everything for the next stage of new creation. I suggest achieve this through cleansing, dull laughter. Let's vulgarize butoh with the most profane and banal things we can find. Let's turn contemporary art performance into buffoonery, sitcom comedy, and pop culture. We will use anecdotes from the one-lari weekly crossword as a butoh notation, hold a butoh fashion show, try to dance a fake AI-slop butoh, and set our favorite guilty pleasure hits as the musical accompaniment for the whole class. We will enter this territory through the images of clowns and jesters, which are already used in butoh. They will serve as starting points for our joyful deconstruction. This class will be filled with meta- and self-irony, gags, and stupid jokes. This time, we will try very serious to be unserious. Send me songs you want to play in class. Any of the following are accepted: pop songs; songs that stick in your head; silly songs; guilty pleasure songs.

We will feel how movement changes under the influence of self-observation and external gaze, and we will experience the opposite — a state of dynamic empathy with the inner life of the body. We will learn to distinguish between moments when the body manifests itself and when the mind interferes with the life of the body and uses it as a tool to show something. We will pay attention to those interpretations in which the "I" stops to be unified and stable: the split ego and the multiplicity of sub-egos. For some practices, I will bring masks made by my friend @mmio.re . Мы почувствуем, как движение меняется под влиянием самонаблюдения и внешнего взгляда и ощутим обратное — состояние динамического вчувствования во внутреннюю жизнь тела. Мы научимся различать моменты, когда тело сампроявляет себя, а когда разум вмешивается в жизнь тела, и использует его как инструмент, чтобы что-то показать. Отдельное внимание уделим тем осмыслениям, в которых «я» перестаёт быть единым и стабильным: расщеплённому эго и множественности суб-эго. Для некоторых практик я принесу маски сделанные моей подругой @mmio.re С помощью них мы попробуем спрятаться, раствориться, стереть свое привычное "Я" и ощутить себя иным, "не-Я".

Butoh Class & Performance Theme: Limited Conditions Aēr Place of Light: 73/32 Mikheili Tsinamdzghvrishvili St. December 21st. Class 5pm-7pm Performance 7pm-8pm Price: Free (donations welcome) This Sunday, we will hold a special class with preparation and documenting a performance. The topic of this lesson is the limitations. They are part of every person's existence. Activity within such conditions is often an opportunity to find a non-trivial way out, a hidden path, a new solution. We will learn how to make creative freedom from them and express it in your dance. What awaits you: - Dancing insolence in the cramped brine of pickled cucumbers stuffed into a minibus jar. - Freedom of displaced limbs inside repressive judgment, croaked out by hoarse toads. - Juggling your own organs inside a concrete coffin packed with needle-like fluff. - A shadow fight with transparent walls closing in under the pressure of gentle, all-understanding hydraulic press machines. - A vivid gesture from a suffocating cocoon, casually thrown at hopelessness blind bulls. After the class, each of you will be able to present a solo performance. For this part, we have invited a shibari master. Within the performance, this art of restricting movement will merge with butoh movement practice. We will apply traditional butoh makeup, and parts of the body will be immobilized using ropes. The freedom of movement you will find in this restriction will become the outcome of this performative exploration. (!) Participation in the performance is totally optional. Please make sure that your physical condition allows you to be tied and to move for an extended period of time.

“Hidden in Creak” Redefining space within oneself, or oneself within space? The creak subjugates everything. Creaking walls greet the body sitting on the creaking chair. A creaking environment shakes the air with creaking waves. For the body there remains only: (1) to play, (2) to imitate, (3) to be a body.
