If you weren’t able to attend #Gonerfest22 in person this year, needed a brief disco nap at the air bnb, or just wanted to revisit a favorite set from the weekend, the live broadcast was there for you all day, every day! We’d like to take a moment to thank all the hardworking folks who made this incredible service possible for us. So many thanks to the best producer duo, @the_shrews and @jeremyspeakes - none of this would have happened if it weren’t for you guys! Thank you to the directors who gave us the most interesting watching experience, @cole_early4 , @dasbutcher , and @pickle_tv . Thank you to our incredible audio engineer who crushed it the entire weekend by himself! You rock @thedaniellynn ! Graphics producer for the stream was none other than our art director, @cakeslime . Big thanks to the editing dream team, @laurajeanorama and @roseberrypictures . The most amazing interviews between sets were done by @vibrotronica and @ryansshorts - thanks Chris and Ryan and THANK YOU if you were lucky enough to be interviewed by them. Thank you to the playback dream team, @brown1brown2 and Monica Summerfield. @kris10hobbs coordinated the volunteer camera operators and it was a huge job - thank you Kristen! To all of our awesome volunteer camera operators - you guys CRUSHED it! Thank you Caleb Ash, Shawn Budd, Andrea Buggey, Em Coates, Armaine De La Cruz, Dan Garber, Ryan Goble, Robert Gordon, Lyle King, Jerry Leek, Eric Lichterman, John McCarthy, Joel Richards, Sallie Sabbatini, Ben Siler, Jenn Sweeney, Ethan Thompson, Maggie Trisler, Heather Wallace, and the film crew at @overtonparkshell . PART II The collaboration between the @infinitystairs team and @cakeslime took stage graphics to a whole new level. Has anything like that ever been done? I dunno? I’ve never seen anything like it. Their work at the Shell on Sunday, in particular, was completely mind-blowing. Look out for more from both — the sky’s the limit.  Did I mention the music? Whoa what an insane batch of bands! From main stage shows to afterparties and everywhere in between - Memphis was one big RnR explosion for 4 days.  But most of all - thanks to everyone for coming. Every year this thing happens because you come. You come and see what’s great about our city, and the larger Goner community. It’s really just the best feeling to have everyone around for a long weekend.  Hope everyone got home safe - we’re already working on GF23. Until then - we’ll try and keep up with you with a barrage of emails and social posts keeping ya in the loop on what we are up to. Keep ordering records! Visit your local shops! Go see shows! We’ll see ya again next September. 📸 Photos by: @seandavis @amuricaphoto @antonjackson @adam.ziegenhals

*CONT. IN PART 2! Hey goners - we are clawing our way back to functional life after a truly wonderful weekend here in Memphis for @gonerfest 22. What an amazing time. We’ve got all sorts of posts to make over the next week - but right now we’ve got some thanking to do!!  This thing could not have happened without our partners at @wiseacrebrewingcompany - who went above and beyond as hosts for the first three days. Also the @overtonparkshell , who hosted the finale on Sunday. These are two Memphis treasures and we are thrilled to be working with them. We also have to thank @memphopresents for sharing with us both infrastructure and knowledge — GF22 was on a different level for planning, preparation and execution, and we couldn’t have done it without any of these three.  Also our other sponsors, @lensrentals , @memphisrecordpressing , @wyxr_memphis , @memphisflyer , @centralstationmemphis , Holiday Inn Express, @memphistourismsales , @downtownmemphis , @servisfirstbank_careers , @crosstownarts and @signsfirstmidtown . And everyone who put an ad in the program!  There are not enough good words to say about the team we had in place this year. From seasoned vets to rookies - everyone stepped up their game in big bold ways. @andrew.mccalla (along with @thepiratehat and @cropsdustin ) made everything sound great, @cakeslime ’s artwork was jaw dropping and somehow still managed to make a million social media posts, @tibbssam ran band recon like a champ, @dbsguitarworks was our swiss army knife, @danielryanholloway dealt with the brass, @cramholezine held down the fort at the shop and the mic for the finale, and @tonalplexus managed an amazing group of volunteers between the merch, door and pop-up shop. It was truly awesome to see.  Stream! Best year yet! Thanks @the_shrews as always for running it and @jeremyspeakes for stepping in to assist, @thedaniellynn on audio, @kris10hobbs for coordinating and everyone that grabbed a camera, made some edits, or directed and made some magic happen. You can still check out the footage at Gonerfest.com.  Hey! It’s a two parter! Go to part II for the second half! 📸Photos by: @seandavis @antonjackson @michaelpassman @adam.ziegenhals

We’re hearing that some of our super rushed short run @teeveerepairmann @gonerfest singles have had pressing issues. We’re working to resolve those for the rest of the run. In the meantime - if your copy is goofed up get in touch- we’ll make it right!

well that was once in a lifetime 😆😆😆😆 the GONERFEST 2025 stage was right next to the tracks.. when we ended “Liar” the train went by and the horn was in the right key for the song (there is some dissonance in train horns but it basically worked pretty well for A minor 😆😆) Thank u @gonerfest for the best song ending ever #thedartsus #nightmarequeenstour2025 #gonerfest2025

Let’s run @gonerfest 22 recaps back by starting at the end! Gonerfest closed out in a spectacular fashion with @snooper_7 at a spectacular location the @overtonparkshell Sundays are usually the come down for Gonerfest but this was the reverse and we went out on such a high. Had a blast getting Snooper photos they really kept me busy and it felt like a workout in the best possible way. More recaps to come!

Goner Fest 22 was killer. Hung out on Friday and Saturday and saw a ton of great sets, got to interview some interesting folks, and ate great Memphis food along the way. The Fest’s enduring community of friends and supporters is what makes it so distinct, and it was damn fun to be in the mix for a bit. Thanks to Michael Beach, Sara Moseley, Tommy Wright III, and Optic Sink for chatting in the midst of selling merch, winding down from performances, etc. Appreciate all of you! All of the interviewees shared their Memphis gems too, so here are a few highlights: ➡️ MB: Ardent Studios (among other famous recording studios) ➡️ SM: Stax Museum of American Soul ➡️ TW III: Blue City Cafe, Peggy’s, and the Four Way Grill ➡️ OS: Overton Park, Ernestine & Hazel’s, and Antique Warehouse Mall (on Summer Ave.) If you live in the southeast and dig outsider music, make the trip to Memphis next year for Goner Fest. There’s really nothing else like it. Songs featured: Sharp Pins “Bettie Wait” and The Whiffs “Might As Well”
