🧠 Stories that stay with you — not just this week
It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, which always sparks important conversations. But mental health isn’t a one-week topic for us. It’s something we’re committed to, year-round—so much so that over the last 4 years, we’ve created two XR experiences exploring lived experiences of psychosis and ADHD — bringing Goliath and Impulse to life to challenge stigma, and invite deeper understanding.
To mark this week, we’re offering both award-winning experiences together, for the first time, in a special bundle:

IT’S TIME FOR THE IMPULSE TRAILER 🚀🎬
Three years ago, our virtual reality experience, Goliath: Playing with Reality, won the Grand Jury Prize at Venice Immersive; back then, Impulse (the second episode) was just a budding idea. Fast forward three (intense) years of research and mixed-reality production, and we’re thrilled to bring it back to the same competition at this year’s Venice International Film Festival.
Narrated by Tilda Swinton, Impulse is a 40-minute interactive mixed reality documentary about how you make sense of the world around you, told through the stories of four people who are coming to terms with the decisions which have chartered their lives.
Take a sneak peek of the action with our full trailer—dropped exclusively by UPLOADVR yesterday.

𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘩, as part of transformé, is now open🚨
OASIS immersion, Canada’s largest immersive destination, presents transformé, a fascinating voyage rooted in real-life stories from which emerges the infinite power of courage and empathy.
This 80-minute interactive walkthrough exhibition spans eight works (including 𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘩 ) originally designed for virtual reality headsets, which are then reformatted into a collective public experience.
Staged for the first time worldwide, the exhibition plunges visitors into the heart of the human experience by addressing contemporary issues like mental health, compassion, inequality, diversity and wonder, taking them on a personal and transfixing ride of sights and sounds.

How 𝘎𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘩 and the other seven immersive narratives came together for transformé @oasisimmersion ⬇️
“Although at first glance virtual reality and on-site immersion may seem similar, these two mediums require a very distinct approach.
Virtual Reality (VR) is an intimate individual experience where the proximity of the subject allows a deep exploration of emotion. In contrast, on-site immersion offers a more contemplative - and sometimes even collaborative - collective experience.
Adapting VR works for OASIS Immersion spaces is no easy task. VR offers a unique point of view and is composed of spherical video content that takes place near the user. This creates the illusion of depth and openness in a virtual world. By adapting such a work to an indoor setting, this sphere must be transposed and shaped to fit a cubic space, onto physical flat surfaces in order to offer a wandering experience. The challenge is thus to maintain the effect of depth and openness in the virtual world and to make visitors leave behind the physical space. When this effect is realized, the immersion is experienced well beyond the walls.
Artists must keep these technical constraints in mind all the while revisiting the narrative basis of their works. Translating the intimacy of a VR work into a collective space: that is the primary challenge these artists face. Immersion is still in its infancy, and we are all in a way pioneers writing the first sentences of a brand-new language.”
