Yes, you can play your old retro consoles with your VR headset, no emulator required.
I ran the analog signal through a RetroTINK 2X-Pro, into an Elgato HD60 S, opened it on PC, then pulled it into VIVE Focus Vision with Virtual Desktop.
Basically: real console → capture card → PC → giant VR screen.
