a Sony camcorder and a cellphone, an (almost done) bed-studio, a sunny afternoon, testing USB cables, glitches, (finally) basking in the tender weather of Spring, preparing for
@sonoluxmtl /
@subterramtl 's sonic offering tomorrow (wink wink), neighbours strolling outside wondering where the music is coming from, a desire to test out sonic transits I imagined upon listening to now-acquired records, and did I say glitches?
these were the ingredients for a 2:38:11 jam session that unfolded this Wednesday under the delightful sun and soft breeze of Spring. my intention with this weekly practice + ideation session was to practice my left hand, tap into word play as I weave transitions, and simply listen to records I hadn’t gotten the chance to listen to fully and/or in a long time.
here are excerpts of this lovely afternoon, live from a place that now mirrors my desires more accurately than it ever has.
bonne écoute!
