THE FASHION ISSUE
@_aylah_ â¤ď¸. Audacity, unconscious drive, practice, eroticism, layering, presence, and surprise: what face does Fashion finally reveal to us? In every photograph you will see here lie the origins of what we call desire, born from the most seductive and powerful act we have ever invented: dressing ourselves. By entering this universe of fabrics and forms, we declare out loud what we long for. We give space to instinct through a brilliant tartan jacket, a billowing gown, oversized boots, or a skirt that floats across dimensions.
This long love story between costume and the human being, created by Giampaolo Sgura and Lorenzo Posocco for Elle Italia, finds its protagonist in Aylah Peterson. Across 48 images, she leads us through the lives of many different women, thanks to a metamorphosis that arrives each time sudden, dynamic, and powerful. Step closer to the magical evolutions through which Fashion seduces us: staged scenes, photographic techniques, contrasting sets and locations, hairstyling and makeup that shift in an instantâimage after imageâbeginning anew each time, chasing after a fresh fantasy, whether accessible or intriguing.
Through Giampaolo Sguraâs gaze and Lorenzo Posoccoâs vision, High Fashion seeks to astonish us once more, revealing both courage and tenderness, indomitable craftsmanship, elaborate processes of creation, the electric spark of intuition, and the dizzying pace of calendars that hold together such distant eras. It is a rich construction, an atelier of meaning, where Fashion returns to being an act of monumental trust.
