We did it! Massive congratulations to #IanDudley and #MaridowaWilliams, and of course to the publications team at @paulmelloncentr for winning an HBA Book Award for their fabulous book Aubrey Williams: Art, Histories, Futures ❤️ I am forever mesmerised by Aubrey Williams' planetary imagination and the writing I did for the book remains one of my favourite bits of research ever. Also - and this is not for the sake of compulsive social media shoulder patting - working with Ian and Maridowa was truly wonderful on an intellectual and human level. Now heading into the weekend with a spring in my step 😊

🔥 IT'S PUBLICATION DAY 🔥 It's taken years and much collective effort but it was worth it! Specialist or newcomer, if you are curious about the intersection of visionary politics, art and ecology in the context of one of the most heavily extracted zones of the world then go get yourself a copy of this beautiful book (later to be released in more affordable paperback format) with contributions by @tatigrams @mimisheller @dianamccaulay @daniellaroseking @annalee.devere @andil.gosine @genevievehyacinthe @nadiahuggins @kimboqueen @cespencer_ @ccozier50 natsmcguire #carlosgarridocastellano #lizabethparavisinigebert. Or if you are affiliated with an institution like a university or a museum get them to order a copy for their library! 🙏 The editorial process was kept on course by dream team #katekeohane and @daniellaroseking who I will never have enough praise for ❤️❤️❤️ Huge thanks also to #EmmaBrennan and @manchester_university_press for taking on our proposal; and to @paulmelloncentr for backing us with a Publication Grant. DID I MENTION IT'S OUT?!? 🎉 🎉🎉

Thank you @henrymoorefdn_grants for making possible my latest trip to Atlanta where I was lucky to delve into the #donaldlocke archive @donaldlockestudio before catching Grace Ali's beautiful show Donald Locke: Nexus - my badly lit pictures don't do it justice! Massive congratulations @grace_aneiza_ali 🔥🔥🔥#HenryMooreGrants

What an incredible afternoon spent with @lisaandersonaa 's magnific exhibition #soulscapes at @dulwichgallery ...after much grayness, climatic and otherwise, it was just what I needed. As an exhibition it felt seductive, joyous, precise and just the right size to leave you energised and wanting more. Some highlights pictured here by Hurvin Anderson, Evewright, Nengi Omuku, Che Lovelace, Christina Kimeze, @purebred.mongrel and @harold_offeh 😍

Really into these jazzy reframings of what I assume to be English countryside near where Li Yuan-Chia ran the wonderful LYC art space in Cumbria. Over the years I have come to focus so heavily on my uneasiness and disconnection from a Tory version of rural England that was much revered by some of my ancestors that I almost forgot the amazing stuff I was exposed to as a child who spent a big chunk of her summers in Cambridgeshire. I forgot the radical, counter-cultural, modernist, eclectic and just plain weird stuff our family reunions moved through at the best of times. Thank you Kettle's Yard for this reminder of radical cosmopolitan rurality - I feel deeply reinvigorated by it. Huge congratulations to curators @sarahvictoriaturner @a_m_y_t_o_b_i_n @hammad_nasar_8 for this fantastic show #makingnewworlds #kettlesyard #liyuanchia ❤️
