A slice of life from last night’s Afuera screening.
Cold ones cracked, bike chat had, a familiar recipe for a great night in Tailfin Country. Huge thanks to @alvinescajeda and @gingerboyd_ for letting us share their film.
Not sure about you, but we’re off to ride our bikes. Maybe not as far as Alvin, but his film has fired up the legs and helped shake off the January blues.
Life ain’t slowing down in Tailfin Country. Keep your eyes on the horizon, we’ve got some pretty great events coming into view.

throwback to this film from sooo many years ago. the film that first made me want to be a director. the realization that we can write poems and bring them to life and call it a job. i think i was 22 or 23, fresh out of a literature degree, shocked that this was real life. at one point i tried to take a bus from cypress park to malibu for a shoot day đź’€
i’ve been thinking about this project so much lately. it kind of remains a north star for me, for creating work that speaks some tiny little truth. more of this 2026 pls.
