Just like the homes that we design our presence needs a refresh now and again. Especially since I’m no longer blonde(ish).
While very outside my comfort zone, I’m sharing a few portraits and a reminder that design itself is about more than spaces. It’s about people that design the spaces, who they design for, the connection and creating something that feels like you, like home.
I’ve learned the best interiors and the best businesses are built on intuition, trust, and a little bit of edge.
As GBID enters its next year in business (hello year 12) I look forward to leading our incredible team and designing with all of the above.

I heard the word VAN and I was at the door before they even finished the sentence. I also heard the words “client delivery” and “restock” and I don’t know what those mean but I needed to be involved immediately.
I have already inspected every box. Smelled every item. Sat on two things that were not mine. Nobody stopped me so I assume I am helping.
My official job title is Director of Quality Control and Passenger Seat Operations. I take both very seriously. Mostly the passenger seat part.
It’s gonna be a good day. I can feel it in my wrinkles.
Some days it’s CD sets, renderings and meetings. Other days it’s THIS… surrounded by samples and completely in our element as we putt the finishing touches on a design 😄

Tucked on the North Shore of Massachusetts, this property feels worlds away in the best way. We gut renovated the main home but poolside needed lots of love too.
An original shed on the property was transformed into the perfect pool house without adding a single square foot. Even finding space for a washer /dryer unit.
A reminder that thoughtful design isn’t always about building more; sometimes it’s about seeing the potential in what’s already there.
