Thanks as ever to @perranporthmarineconservation for letting us know about this net. #teamwork
We cleared penhale corner and the zigzag while down there.
Wondering how come @perransandshaven don’t have any bins at the bottom yet? Seems odd a past Easter??? And the dirty nappies are apparently too heavy to carry up the zig zag to the bins at the top.
Thanks to Finn from @wateringholecornwall for the help.
This lot will all be recycled as usual by the fab @exetercouncil@odysseyinnovation and @matt_hulland
Thanks to Jules and @circularandco as always too.
Net recovery this morning at Gwithian with us @ghostnetbusters and our friends @cleanoceansailing … After this lot we left Steve and Üla with @rnli and Jack and James fighting a horrid mooring rope as an additional bonus to this lot. Thanks @circularandco for storage for our 1/3 and for giving JKL the morning as volunteering time. Thanks in advance to @matt_hulland@odysseyinnovation@exetercouncil for recycling this back in to the #circulareconomy
It’s always a team effort and if anyone ever wants to come and help dm us you are very welcome.
Always a joy to clear out the collection depot where the fabulous @circularandco lend us space for smelly ghostgear.
Thanks to Fergus who headed down on behalf of @matt_hulland and @exetercouncil
… and to Jules and George for helping load the various recyclables.
Thanks to @rob.thompson79@odysseyinnovation

Ghostnet recovery from Portreath today. Thank you so much everyone for the amazing team work. #aldfg
Thank you in advance to Exeter City Council and @odysseyinnovation for recycling this and to @circularandco for allowing us to store these materials.

We haven’t posted all our beach clean ups lately and we haven’t been to any MASSIVE nets recently - but we have passed on details to our friends at other recovery groups through our collaborative Whatsap group. Our aim is to always minimise carbon footprint so whoever is available and close ish will collect nets. Keep reporting them to us. If we are near and available we will collect and get them recycled… if not we will definitely know somebody who can recover them. It’s always teamwork.
Thanks to all groups and individuals involved in addressing ALDFG you are all rockstars whether finding them and reporting them, recovering them, coordinating efforts, recycling them etc.
Our morning started with relocating this #ghostnet to our compound to be collected by @matt_hulland for recycling into the #circulareconomy through @odysseyinnovation and @exetercouncil
Sorry Matt I know you only just collected our stash.
Thank you to Drustan from @rnli_lifeguards_perranporth_sc this is one of a few recently that have already been pre-removed from the shoreline for us, saving us loads of time :)
Also thanks to @circularandco who continue to provide storage space for us. #protectwhatyoulove #oceanadvocate
Every day is a beach clean day. Each item we remove large or small is taking positive action for the ocean.
#oceanadvocate
Thanks as always to @odysseyinnovation and @matt_hulland
Whilst this little collection wasn’t recyclable, they recoup and reincarnate all our recyclable material through #netregenerationscheme to protect the ocean and support the #circulareconomy
#oceanactivist
Thank you to @matt_hulland for collecting our net stash yesterday for recycling through #netregenerationproject @odysseyinnovation no sooner had it gone than we found another big net after our evening swim so the new stash has begun! #oceanadvocacy #protectwhatyoulove
Thanks to Troy for recovering this big stinky net from the beach. We have relayed it to our holding facility at @circularandco and it will now go to @odysseyinnovation via @matt_hulland@exetercouncil and be saved from landfill or being a hazard to marine wildlife. Also thanks to
braefel garage for the massive amount of work they have done on our truck to get it back to work. #circulareconomy #bluemind #protectwhatyoulove #mitsibishi
