For the land. For the wildlife. For the long term 🌊🌿 Help us secure 13.6 acres at Bartinney and give nature the space to recover. Surrounded by our nature reserve, this land will help reconnect habitats and create more space for wildlife on the Penwith peninsula. But the clock is ticking. We need to raise £80,000 to secure it for nature. Support the appeal and donate today. Link in bio.

A huge moment for nature in Cornwall. We’re launching our most ambitious project yet: Tor to Shore. This is about bringing wildlife back at scale, connecting land and sea in the heart of Cornwall. Thanks to a £3.3 million grant from @heritagefunduk , National Lottery players are making this possible - supporting us to work alongside farmers, fishers, landowners, businesses and local communities with a shared goal - to help nature recover. This is just the beginning. Huge thanks to the local businesses already supporting the journey. If your business wants to be part of restoring wildlife from Tor to Shore, we’d love to hear from you: drop us a message. #creatingacornwallwherenaturethrives #tortoshore [video description: drone footage flies you over Helman Tor nature reserve and then cuts to the shores of Cornwall’s coast. The video shows some of the wildlife species at the heart of the Tor to Shore project and some of the people involved, with text explaining some of the key things the project will deliver. The video finishes by saying ‘Cornwall’s most ambitious project for nature’ with thanks to The National Lottery Heritage fund.]

We’ve done it! The release of wild beavers in Cornwall is a landmark for nature recovery. Beavers have been released within the Par and Fowey river catchments to roam free, after years of careful planning. Thanks to Cornwall Wildlife Trust members, supporters, and everyone who has made this possible. #beavers #cornwallwildlifetrust Footage credit to @beavertrust

Honestly… you lot never stop amazing us. From bake sales to sponsored swims, beach cleans to big adventures, we’re constantly blown away by the creative, generous and sometimes slightly bonkers ways you support wildlife in Cornwall. This summer, Royal Cornwall Hospital staff nurse Paul (and his mascot, Justin Beaver 🦫) are taking on all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path to raise funds for Cornwall’s wildlife. Paul, who is also one of our brilliant volunteers, said: “When I’m not helping to heal people at Treliske, I’m passionate about supporting nature recovery in Cornwall. I love doing what I can to help create a Cornwall where wildlife and wild places thrive.” We’ll be cheering @paul132282 and Justin Beaver on every step of the way (and you can too by donating to his fundraiser - find the link in profile). Inspired? Comment FUNDRAISE below and we’ll send you inspiration, ideas and a fundraising pack to help you do something amazing for nature too 🌿 #BecauseDoingChangesThings #CreatingaCornwallWhereNatureThrives 📸1 - Amy Lewis 2&3 - Paul Foord

If you’re able to donate – no matter what the amount – you’ll be helping create a bigger, more resilient Bartinney for generations to come. Today is David Attenborough's 100th birthday! For more than sixty years, he has supported The Wildlife Trusts as President Emeritus, helping generations fall in love with the natural world. He wouldn’t want a present, so let’s mark it differently. Do one thing for Cornwall’s nature today 👇 🪻 Make space for wildlife at home, such as planting for pollinators 🏖️ Do something outdoors – join a beach clean, spot and record wildlife, or come along to an event 🤲 Donate to help extend Bartinney nature reserve 🪏 Volunteer on one of our reserves or projects Every action makes a difference.
