Put a base on your bin
Rat-proof your Dalek bin by buying a base from @getcomposting . The base plate will also help to keep your compost bin aerated and stable. The circular, fanned design allows for consistent airflow, whilst the holes improve drainage.
Alternatively, you can line your bin yourself with galvanized steel mesh, which is stronger and has smaller holes than chicken wire and should keep the rats out.
