My debut album Spiritual Reconstruction Engine is out now through @geometric_corruption Spiritual Reconstruction Engine is a personal, cathartic album born out of a long battle with chronic lung conditions. Recorded during the beginnings of a recovery arc, the album’s heavy, gory, biblical, frenetic sound palette acts as a mirror to circumstance. Bodily infused textural noise, heavy bass and sharp atmospherics give a heaving feel, contrasted against a strikingly heavenly tone throughout. The blend of emotions in the album is disorienting, but it’s baked into the album’s DNA as a reflection of coming to enjoy moments of bliss & peace despite one’s circumstances. The album is full of fresh sound design born from various real-world settings, including surgical and medical sampling (incl my various monitoring devices), natural environments, and choir archives. Звук и изображение здесь связаны алгоритмически: пороговые значения музыки напрямую управляют визуальными образами, создавая синестетический опыт. Объекты в кадре — реальные места: сосны и болота под Тюменью (с. Каменка, Муллаши) и наличник из музея Словцова. Чтобы оцифровать болото, @pirk0art пришлось в костюме заходить в воду со камерой, рискуя провалиться. Искусство как переходное состояние и технологический эксперимент. Трек Pholis G - Fed Back издан на лейбле @geometric_corruption . Куратор сборника: @archidi___ Porog (Threshold) — a video art piece by @pirk0art . Music by @pholisg . Exploring a liminal state: Tyumen as a threshold between the Urals and Siberia. Sound and image are algorithmically intertwined: the audio’s threshold values directly control the visual imagery, creating a synesthetic experience. The objects in the frame are real locations: pine trees and swamps near Tyumen and a wooden carved window frame from the Slovtsov Museum. To digitize the swamp, @pirk0art had to wade into the water in waders with a camera, risking the chance of falling through. Art as a transitional state and a technological experiment.
