Here’s a jam with the Lyra-8 and Ether (as a layer) from SOMA Laboratory. :)
SOMA changed my approach to music. Their instruments taught me to let go, stop overthinking, and truly touch and feel the sound.
After years of using plugins, it feels super refreshing.
I bought the Ether a long time ago while searching for weird ways to generate textures, noises, and layers, and it has followed me ever since throughout my sound design journey.
I’ve had the Lyra-8 for quite a while too, and I’ve used it on tons of projects, including my work as a game sound designer/composer.
I’m using it for drones, percussion, glitches, noise textures, and even monster growls with it. It’s rreally AMAZING for monster growls.
This instrument really feels alive. Sometime, it almost feels like we’re collaborating on the track together. As you can hear in the jam, it's almost as the synth is... talking?
