35 years in the making as a photographer, and I still love every moment of it. It hasn’t always been easy—there have been struggles, including mental health challenges—but I’ve fought hard to evolve, pushing my boundaries and refining my style along the way. Check out this quick reel of some of my favorite shots—proof that with a bit of talent, luck, and a lot of hard work, you can become the best version of yourself as a professional photographer. But true success also requires tenacity and grit; you must constantly reinvent and adapt to stay relevant with the times and trends. Whether you’re an amateur, a startup photographer, or a seasoned pro, I am so excited to share that I’ve been working on a book designed to help you excel in this highly competitive world of image-making. This book and my goal is to help you optimize your mindset, skills, and strategies—essential tools for thriving in the dynamic landscape of advertising photography. So join my channel for more info, I’ll also use this channel to also share tips and BTS. Go to my profile page and join my channel “Inside the Mind of a Photographer “

Happy Valentine’s Day… love yourself before loving anyone else! A fun portrait of the talented @millietang taken at @barcoda.asia while she was here on a 3 day residency at CODA for @orientalistspirits This idea was an impromptu idea I came up with on the morning of the shoot, I wanted to do something different and conceptual. I wanted a shot of her kissing herself, and one being dry and another of her being the wet one (her being a bartender and all) As I was retouching the image I felt that she wasn’t wet enough and used gen Ai Nano Banana to add some water droplets and streaks down her face, worked out great! A recent shoot for the Ministry of Home Affairs recruitment campaign. I really enjoy creating sexy lighting that works with the brief, just because it’s people shot in the studio on a limbo doesn’t mean that it can’t look good! This was a two set shoot, set one is a colorful LED lighting set and set two is a clean portrait set lit with flash. I opted for an LED setup for set one as there was different color backgrounds for the key visuals so it just made sense to go fully LED so I could dial in exactly the colors to match the backgrounds. And for set two I wanted the clarity and sharpness of a strobe setup lit with Profoto for the portraits.

Had the pleasure of working with the Singapore Oceanarium on their brand assert library shoot, a multi day lifestyle shoot where we had to work within a tight schedule with multiple scenes a day, working fast but yet delivering quality shots, lighting in a way that still preserves the actual atmosphere of the space. Often low light scenes that were super challenging to light, super enjoyable shoot with amazing clients, agency, talents and crew! 2016, exactly a decade ago, I was bored and miserable with my style and work, my over polished, over retouched, a little too perfect commercial works… my frustration drove me to seek a new style and a new genre in my practice. I was into CrossFit at that time and approached my gym where I trained and said allow me to do a fun shoot with you guys. I brought my team a bunch of lights and created this series of images, I was going for that cinematic look, raw moments, real emotions, this one series of images paid off, it propelled me into the new and emerging world of fitness and athlesiure market. The industry took noticed and I started shooting all over the world. Sometimes all you need is to get out of your comfort zone and try new things to evolve and grow

A long day of shooting for Anta, across multiple locations, when you have so much to do in a day, you need a well oiled team, great pre-production planning and you can do almost anything!

RED — The Colour That Moved Us As REDred comes to a close, we celebrate a showcase where red became more than a colour — it became emotion. Geoff Ang (@geoffang ) presented a striking series of fashion portraiture captured on the #LeicaSL, each frame revealing red’s power to shape mood, movement, and meaning. Throughout the exhibition, the works invited viewers to slow down, engage, and interact with each piece — to feel the dialogue between colour and emotion. Watch the highlights of the event as we revisit the moments, the conversations, and the colour that brought the evening to life.

Castings feat. @haleynness REDred on till the 12 Nov 2025 @leicastoresg This work centers on a single, unstaged moment; a raw still from a casting process captured at the 30th second. The photograph hangs on the wall in its unguarded honesty: unfiltered, uncomfortable, and human. Overlaid on the print is a 30-second casting video, projected to unfold in real time, revealing what preceded the moment. At the precise 30-second mark, image and video converge for a brief, surreal instance where movement and stillness meet, inviting viewers to witness time spilling into itself. Taken with Leica SL3 on the 24-90mm, Video on the Leica SL3S with 24-90mm Lit with x2 Profoto D2 and x1 Profoto D3 Hair and makeup @yangrick Styling @top.kwality Shot @studiosatt5

Red Riding Hood feat. @rebekaanagy @avemanagement REDred the exhibition now on till the 12 November 2025 @leicastoresg A single gaze, flooded with red, where color becomes confession and mood takes shape. The portrait holds a quiet fire at the brow and lip—a tide of crimson that speaks louder than words. Red is not merely pigment here; it is memory, desire, and the language of presence. In this calm, incandescent stillness, the image breathes with the heat of what it means to be seen. Crush feat. @exhalewithkatya & @kayshisavage @avemanagement REDred, experience it for yourself now @leicastoresg till the 12 November 2025 A retro-inspired, on-camera flash portrait rendered with an interactive twist. The viewer is invited to crush a black-and-white print to create a textured overlay that sits against the color photograph, enabling a tactile participation in the artwork’s evolving look. By physically aggregating the raw grayscale layer with the saturated color image, the piece gates the boundary between capture and interpretation, memory and present sensation. The act of crushing becomes a performative gesture that reclaims agency over how an image is seen and shared. Beautifully styled by @top.kwality Hair and makeup @yangrick Taken with Leica SL3 on the 90-280mm Shot at the @studiosatt5 Lit with x1 Profoto B10 Plus, x2 Profoto D2 @profoto @profotosharethelight
