Excited to share that I am a part of the North Zone jury at @ndtv_food Awards 2025 with some stalwarts and colleagues from the industry. There are so many promising new places that have opened in Delhi-NCR over the past year. And then there are some that never get old with time. Can't wait to find out who is on the top of the charts! Just a few more days for restaurants to register themselves– till February 23, 2025. #ndtvfood #foodawards #delhirestaurants #foodindelhi

An evening to remember! The launch of @franckmuller_geneve 's first boutique in North India at @dlfemporio , in collaboration with @kapoorwatch was a glittering one–in the presence of ace cricketer, humanitarian and soon-to-turn actor/producer @yuvisofficial . I spent some time chatting with Erol Baliyan, Managing Director for @franckmuller_geneve in the Middle East, Africa and India to understand more about their plans to expand in India. Plus, there was also a quick conversation with @yuvisofficial on what he's doing lately, his biopic, his cancer charity and more. Stay tuned for both interviews that will be out shortly! Thank you @aklc_india @ashok.khemlani for having me. (Yuvraj Singh, Franck Mueller, Watch geeks, watch nerds)

It's a good time for folks living in Delhi-NCR. Another big brand—somewhat an institution in Chinese cuisine—opens in Taj Surajkund Resort and Spa, Delhi-NCR. Yes, I am talking about Golden Dragon that began its journey in Mumbai in 1973. Since then, it has opened in two Taj Hotels down south...North India finally gets it too! At a time when most restaurant menus tend to go overboard—and almost look the same—Golden Dragon is a breath of fresh air. It's almost a return to good old Chinese food with a wide selection of dimsum, small plates, mains and desserts. While everything was par excellence (and I mean it, it's not just for the gram), my top picks include the radish puff, prawn hargao dimsum, golden fried prawn, song of the dragon chicken and the steamed Sea Bass with ginger, chilli, spring onion and soy. To watch the Beijing duck being carved before our eyes was also quite fascinating! The meals were paired with some summer sips, the one with Sichuan pepper being a standout. Golden Dragon opens to the public tomorrow. Head here for a meal that you will remember for a long time. @taj.surajkund (Golden Dragon in Delhi-NCR, Chinese restaurants in Delhi NCR, New in Town, new restaurants, Chinese food) #chinesefood #delhincr #faridabadrestaurants #tajsurajkund #newrestaurantalert

Ozempic and Mounjaro may be changing more than eating habits. They may be changing dining behaviour itself. I was recently featured in this @live_mint piece by @geetikasachdev alongside voices like @zkalra , @rumdoodle69 , @sahilsambhi , @raajsanghvi , and @chefmanishmehrotra discussing how GLP-1 drugs could influence restaurant culture, menu formats, alcohol consumption, and hospitality experiences. And this raises a fascinating question: What happens to hospitality when consumers start valuing intentionality over abundance? Smaller portions. Low-ABV cocktails. Protein-forward menus. Slower, more mindful consumption. Is this the future of dining culture… or are restaurants adapting too quickly to an emerging trend? Curious where you stand on this shift. I have to be honest, forced fusion puts me off. Most places today attempt to ape the modern Indian food trend — probably why they don't end up being successful. However, there are a few who have taken a balanced route and cracked the code. That's the lane @daryaganjrestaurants Gold stays in. The menu is available in Aerocity (it started in Bangkok) and offers a selection of chaats, small plates, mains and more. The cocktail menu again mirrors the same philosophy. Most dishes retain the original flavour of beloved dishes, despite adding a slightly contemporary touch. It was fun to try Palak Patta Chaat, Dahi Bhalla or even Bhel puri in a new avatar. Or who would have thought that salmon tikka would end up being one of my top picks? But here we are. And this is a no-brainer, but the dal makhani and butter chicken have to be on the table, when at Daryaganj. No notes there. Extra points for its design. The outlet is spacious and tastefully done up, with several nooks for photo-ops. If you are looking for a place in Delhi to enjoy a hearty meal with friends or family, this is the place to visit. #daryaganjrestaurant #dalmakhani #butterchicken #delhincr #newintown

A story that I am incredibly proud of sees the light of the day. I started working on this piece for @livemintlounge over a month ago, when my editor @rituparna_r first discussed this idea. Since it's a tricky subject (a lot of the dining habits are likely to be governed by the influx of weight loss medication), we were concerned if people in the F and B space would speak openly about it. It's a fact that menus are shrinking. After all, people are seeking healthier options in smaller portions. But is it because of a general change in lifestyle or a result of reduced appetite, thanks to GLP-1 drugs? Fortunately, my discussions led to some fantastic inputs (and revelations) from some of the biggest names in the space. Thank you Rituparna for all your guidance on this one. Couldn't have done it without you! P.S - Link to the piece in my stories. #ozempic #menudesign #foodwriter #smallplates

The Tory Burch pop-up at @roasterycoffeehouseindia in Sarvodaya Enclave has finally come to a close. I went more than a week ago to see what the hype is all about. It was interesting to see how The Roastery Coffee House has stepped briefly outside its usual identity to host Romy Café, a takeover by @toryburch . The collaboration turns the café into a physical extension of the brand’s world, something often seen in global luxury capitals, where fashion labels increasingly move into hospitality. But it's still relatively nascent in India. The entrance has an almost life size, sculptural Romy installation. Inside, the branded details become evident through bespoke table settings, signature cups and sleeves, custom dessert packaging, and a limited-edition coffee menu designed exclusively for the residency. I would love to see more brands going down this route, especially with this one tasting success. @tandemcommunication @insiyahbootwala @rishitashah (Tory Burch, Roastery Coffee House, branded pop up, luxury fashion house, coffee in Delhi) #coffeeindelhi #cafesindelhi #delhincr #toryburch

The newly-opened @kimikai.india in Gurugram brings with it lush interiors, a seriously good selection of small plates, and oh – a mythical muse. @geetikasachdev had high expectations – read the full review in the link in bio to see how it measured up. It’s been weeks since my trip to Amritsar, and I’m still thinking about what I experienced there. I often find myself revisiting the city’s iconic kulcha-chole spots—but this time, it was something entirely different. I had the chance to experience @thegovernorhousebyelgin ahead of its opening, and it left me completely spellbound. Set within a heritage structure once used by British governors, the space carries its history with confidence, with centuries-old details showing up in every corner. Kudos to @kavishkhurana @shrutikhuranaa and @isanchitarora of @renesa.architects for preserving its character and infusing it with contemporary elements, wherever necessary. While the effort behind the scenes is evident, what stands out is how little the soul of the building has been altered. The menu by @chefanujwadhawan highlights Indian flavours, albeit with a contemporary lens. Classics like butter chicken and dal makhani continue to be a part of the menu (it's north India after all), while the larger offering feels both familiar and refreshed. The drinks programme, in collaboration with Tulleeho, complements the food with equal nuance. The Governor House opens to the public in about a week and I genuinely can’t wait for Amritsar to experience it. @kritikalalchandani @apostrophe.communications Thank you for having me over ❤️ #amritsar #amritsarrestaurants #amritsarikulcha #bestrestaurants #beautifuldesign
