Flew the MN “flag” for a bit this afternoon. Took a few laps on the only kind of ice we want in MN and breathed that fresh air deep.

The dumpster fire of the world at large aside, it did my heart a lot of good to go through my 2025 camera roll. Despite the turmoil, I have a lot to be thankful for and a lot to feel hopeful about. Not the least of which is the fact that I’m feeling those things again after a longer-than-comfortable spell of numbness for a large chunk of the year. 2025 was a hard one, but it feels good to look back and realize just how many bright spots there were. Thank you for being part of it and may we all “press on” into 2026 with hope. Happy New Year!

Carbs are out though! Glad so many folks on the forums mentioned u-joint socket adapters. Removal was a breeze, but would have been an absolute pain without that.

File under “things that make me nervous.” I’m trying to decide if I made things worse driving the car this year, but either way - it was worth it. I learned a lot in the process of getting it on the road, I’m hopeful the enjoyment will fuel some momentum, and I’m grateful she didn’t fall apart on any of our joy rides.
Now, do I figure out how to repair the rear torsion area before or after my next driving season? Carbs and shocks should be simple enough, but do I need to pause for longer than that? 🤔
