We bring the German
The Goethe-Institut New York connected one of our GAPP schools, Northampton High School (PA), with German company Evonik for a day that went far beyond the classroom.
Students kicked things off at Evonik’s Allentown Innovation Hub, exploring labs, touring facilities, and talking directly with employees about STEM, careers, and how German plays a role in global industries.
Then they took it to the field with BVB Soccer Academy, training with professional coaches and even using their German along the way.
This is what it looks like to connect learning with real life: building pathways, creating opportunities, and bringing German into the world beyond the classroom.

Our 5th graders are back home safely after an unforgettable exchange in Germany! 🇩🇪✨
During their time abroad, they attended school in Laage (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), experienced university life in Rostock, and even enjoyed a private tour in Mirow - Queen Charlotte’s birthplace - where they also explored areas of the castle that are not open to the public. Their final days in Berlin were filled with iconic sights, including the Chancellery equivalent to the White House, Federal Parliament, Berlin Wall, TV Tower, and so much more.
Most importantly, they built meaningful friendships, created lifelong memories, and truly lived the German language and culture firsthand. What an incredible experience!!
