This group was recognized at the National Leadership Conference for their BPA Cares Membership Explosion Award. KV had their largest membership on record this year with 68 registered members, which was a 48% increase from last year!
SURPRISE! We surprised Haylee Hass this morning with a scholarship for PNW. Students who have taken dual credit classes through PNW and are planning to attend PNW in college are eligible to apply. She had to apply and write an essay. She was one of five students selected for the PNW CEP Scholarship!
French 3 students traveled to the Alliance Française in Chicago recently where they learned to make a three course French meal. They learned to make a tradition French dressing, a bechamel sauce that was used to make the croque-monsieur (ham and cheese) sandwiches, and for dessert they made madeleines. They learned in a professional kitchen and all in French. It was a great experience and they learned that they know more French than they thought.
On Wednesday, the KVHS Zoology class traveled to the Indianapolis Zoo for part of their final project and got up close and personal with some of the animals! They had to identify animals based on terminology, physiology, and conservation status. They also got to go behind the scenes at the Dolphin area to watch a personal training session and speak with the trainers about what it takes to work in the field and take care of animals as a career!

Today was our 2nd National German Honor Society induction, and the energy was amazing. I am so lucky to work with such dedicated, bright, and hardworking students every day.
We also had some extra celebrating to do for three of our stars! ⭐ A huge congratulations to Sierra Evers, Hayden Barker, and Maggie Norwine for their incredible performance on the German National Exam. Out of 15,000 students who took the exam, they earned the Bronze Medal, placing them in the top 30% in the country! 🥉
I’m definitely a proud "Frau" today! I hope all my students are celebrating their big achievements tonight. Wunderbar! 👏🎉
