Smarter testing. Faster path to flight. Our investment in off-ship testing infrastructure is letting our new SpaceShips move from structural assembly through ground testing and into flight test in a fraction of the time. 🚀 Happy National Space Day! Space exploration begins in the classroom. At Virgin Galactic, our mission has always been to open space up to more people, from all walks of life, and that starts with inspiring the next generation of STEM innovators today. The universe belongs to all of us. Here’s to the curious minds who will take us there.

Fantastic to see the @VirginGalactic team a couple of weeks ago and see first-hand how their Delta-class spaceship is progressing. It’s remarkable to see how they have taken VSS Unity, the prototype craft I flew to space in, and developed it to the next level with the new ship. Just yesterday, Virgin Galactic reached a new production milestone, successfully towing the SpaceShip from the assembly hangar to the test and launch hangar, ready to undergo final systems integration and ground testing. Watch this space!

We showed you the lower. We showed you the upper. Now watch them become one. SpaceShip’s fuselage is mated. Crew station locked in. Cabin floor set. The aft fuselage is already building behind it. Next, this ship will meet its wings and feather. Momentum is everything. #VirginGalactic #Space #Engineering

Feather subassembly âś… @bellflight has assembled the feather for our new SpaceShip, and that feather travelled state lines into our SpaceShip factory where it now sits ready to be mated to the wing and the fuselage. And the feather for the next SpaceShip is already underway! #VirginGalactic #Engineering #Space

Gravity didn’t stand a chance. 🚀 Three student-journalists. Two real astronauts. Big questions. Our reporters sat down with Virgin Galactic Astronaut Instructor & Astronaut 003 Colin Bennett and Astronaut 007 Jamila Gilbert to talk space, curiosity, risk, and what it really means to push beyond what’s known. Turns out the future doesn’t wait for permission. #EmpoweringChangemakers @virgin @virgingalactic @howdyjamila @colben100 • La gravedad quedó atrás. 🚀 Tres periodistas estudiantiles. #EmpoweringChangemakers @virgin @virgingalactic @howdyjamila @colben100
