NEW YEAR, NEW COLLABORATION! “DONATIONS FOR JAMAICAN CREATIVES” We’re proud to share that Gallery OCA is collaborating with Kingston Creative / @kingstoncreativejm to help raise funds for their Creative Resilience Fund - created to support Jamaican artists and creatives impacted by Hurricane Melissa, especially across the western parishes. There has already been so much incredible fundraising and relief work to support Jamaica; it’s been truly touching to see the island-wide and global support that has taken place, and continues today, but as many of us know, full recovery will take time. For creatives, the long-term impact is real: lost studios, cancelled shows, disrupted tourism, stalled income, and creative projects put on hold. That’s why the Creative Resilience Fund was created, to provide ongoing support and monthly subsistence grants for artists who are currently unable to earn. And that’s why our Founder Sherece Rainford / @sherecerainford felt it was important for Gallery OCA to stand beside Kingston Creative in this effort. For us, this is about solidarity; artists and communities standing with artists. Over the coming months, we’ll be:- • amplifying Kingston Creative’s campaign • encouraging direct donations • selling selected artworks, with proceeds supporting the fund • and inviting artists who wish to donate work to get involved HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT - click the link in our Bio. (1) Link 1: If you’d like to support, you can donate directly or purchase art, knowing it goes toward helping creatives rebuild and continue their practice. (2) Link 2: If you’re an artist interested in donating a work, please get in touch. This collaboration is about care, resilience, and making sure creativity isn’t left behind during Jamaica’s recovery. Let's Support Jamaican Creatives!
