I was recently invited to join a group exhibition entitled: Icons in the Everyday. The exhibition aims to celebrate those ordinary people who do extraordinary things - if you know me then you know that’s an idea that I already connect with. The first people that came to mind as subjects were @juddyjr and @fossn1
The first time I met both guys @peckhamsoupkitchen I had the privilege of joining them on some community outreach, as they went to deliver food to those who could not make it to the soup kitchen itself. It’s an honor now to be able to share this work and have it exhibited in the second tallest building in the London. It’s seems fitting that just as the building towers over our city as a kind of beacon, so does work that @juddyjr and @fossn1 does for the people of Peckham. They are true icons in a world that is desperately in need of them.
Thank you @seyi.tcc@xchgspaces
When I can’t find the words, I turn to paint to say what needs to be said.
Thank you to those that visited @gallery_oca pouring from a vessel of knowledge exhibition 🙏🏽

—————————————-
“The Red Shoes” is a fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen that explores themes of vanity, ambition, and the consequences of desire. The story follows a girl named Karen who becomes obsessed with a pair of red shoes, leading to her downfall as she is cursed to dance uncontrollably, symbolizing the dangers of letting superficial desires take control of one’s life.
