Is this real life? Still cannot believe I got to meet MOTHERRRRRR @patmcgrathreal It still feels like a dream that I got to meet her, learn from her, and tell her how much she means to me. Pat is the reason I have pursued makeup as hard as I have. I remember swatching her eyeshadow formulas for the first time, the texture and color range instantly made me want to create. I started filming looks out of my comfort zone. From there, I started studying videos of her working backstage at runway shows. I payed attention to her technique and creativity. Seeing the ways she stepped out in fashion makeup made me feel like I, too, could step out in makeup. These past few months I was REALLY MANIFESTING working alongside her. I would be re-organizing my kit and I'd say to myself "just reorganizing my kit for Pat's team!". It felt delusional at the time, but fast forward to beginning of February.... I'm washing my makeup brushes and I say to my boyfriend "just washing my brushes for Pat's team!" and a couple days later I get the email. I had no idea at the time that I was actually washing my brushes for the last time before PAT'S TEAM! This experience is a perfect example of speaking things into existence. Just a few months ago I was so defeated, and then I got to do the #1 thing I have wanted to do as an artist. Never. Give. Up.
