@mug_coffee_and_clay by @keesholterman.workMUG Coffee & Clay brings together small-batch coffee roasting and ceramics under one roof, founded by Hannah and Luis as a community-driven coffee bar and ceramic workspace. The challenge was to create a brand that captures this duality, balancing craft and creativity, warmth and boldness, while the physical space was still taking shape.Kees Holterman developed a playful yet confident identity built around a distinctive ampersand formed by a coffee drip and a ceramic mug, symbolizing the union of two passions. The system is scalable and instantly recognizable, translating seamlessly across touchpoints and brought to life through warm, tactile photography by @gabonghi . The result is a brand that feels as handcrafted and communal as the space itself.#branding #brandidentity #branddesign

It was an honor to get to capture this year’s “50 Best Restaurants” for @phillymag. Not to mention my first cover featuring Chef Nok Suntaranon (@kuhnnok) of Kalaya (@kalayaphilly) which was named #1.Here are some of the pics that made the spread & a lot that didn’t. It was so hard to choose & figure out a way to share these with you. Thanks to @mrgphoto for the assist (& modeling) for a few of these.It’s a privilege to get to capture & preserve Philly’s culinary community. January in black & white Another camera from the old box I tested - this time it was #PentaxFS10 that — to my surprise — already had a roll of #400tx loaded. Not everything turned out the way I hoped but there’s always a learning curve & this perfectly captured the feelings of dread & sadness that can come with winter — especially this one. I loved using this camera & look forward to the next roll.Thanks as always to @indiephotolab for developing
