For the new home of the Children’s Museum of Manhattan, the team is transforming a century-old church overlooking Central Park into a seven-story, interactive learning lab for the children and families of New York City. The project will restore and revitalize the building, honoring its historic form while adding contemporary elements to improve functionality, circulation, and accessibility.
The space will feature hands-on experiences, immersive exhibits, a rooftop terrace with Central Park views, a café, performance space, and museum store. When completed in 2028, it will not only double the museum’s physical capacity but also enable the museum to expand its age range to birth to 10 years old.
