So excited to properly announce the event I’ve programmed as part of my fellowship with
@weareayafilms @wecurateit and part of CineAstra Film Festival in Glasgow.
⭐️’Light Touches’ is a programme of short films which explore the affective, sensory nature of film through a lens of personal reflections and collective experiences. Each consider in different ways the entanglement of body and film, emotion and sensation, and how to capture the felt experience of life through the act of filmmaking. How do we feel our way physically and emotionally through the world, and how is this translated into + onto film?
✨The in-person screening will take place Saturday 28th October (next saturday) 2-4pm
@transmissionglasgow . The films will also be available online for 48 hours via the Curate-It platform. Tickets are available via the link in my bio: it’s pay what you can and all of the ticket sales will go to Medical Aid Palestine, Palestine Children’s Relief Fund and Gaza Emergency Appeal 🇵🇸
⭐️Following the screening will be a very relaxed workshop in which participants can play with 8mm film. Each person will receive a stretch of film to do whatever they want with. These will then be collected at the end (unless you want to keep it!) to create one collaborative reel which responds to ideas from the films.
