The first online meeting for the Festival of HOPE brought together students from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Italy, and Uzbekistan under the coordination of CCAAIBWS. Led by the Chairman of CCAAIBWS and CEO & Director of EAS, Mr. Francesco Banchini, the session focused on connection, collaboration, and sharing experiences. Students explored ideas, discussed opportunities, and contributed to shaping the themes and formats for the upcoming event in partnership with the IB. A productive start to a meaningful initiative that celebrates students’ voices and perspectives.

🌊✨ Education & AI - Inquiry track 1 ✨🌊 At this year’s gathering, we’ll divide into four inquiry tracks on Day 2. Each track is anchored in a specific domain. Pioneering practitioners bring their most alive questions as starting points, and dedicated spaceholders support the dialogue. For the Education & AI track, we’ll be supported by: 🎙 Tim Logan – education leader, facilitator, connector, and host of @futurelearningdesign 🌱 @erikaevacom – futures artist, educator, and educational designer working in the times between worlds Together, we’ll hold broad living questions such as: ✨ What is education & AI in between worlds? ✨ How do we learn, with and beyond machines, in the midst of planetary transition? This is not a panel of experts delivering answers—it is an opportunity to practice a new pedagogy: refining questions, exploring tensions, adding perspectives, and sensing the underlying patterns that shape our time. Like a world café, you can choose to stay in one track or switch after the break to carry insights across domains. Come sit with us at the shoreline of the possible. 🌊 #waves #systemschange #relationalleadership #education #ai #metacrisis

How can we start bridging the gaps from the worlds we live in and the worlds we want to see? Our co-founder @zinebmouhyi recently joined Tim Logan on the @futurelearningdesign podcast to chat about the ways young people are reclaiming their education and making new worlds. Tune into this insightful and hopeful conversation about how we can begin weaving our capacity for personal action with our capacity for collective action 🦋 🎧 Listen to the episode here: /podcast/zineb-mouhyi “So weaving change with others, knowing that the challenges that we’re dealing with are so immense that there is no such thing as the ‘hero model’, the person who’s going to find the perfect solution that’s going to solve it. But rather all the ways that our action can get connected with one another and create that sense of momentum towards change” - Zineb Mouhyi

In BJJ, and in life, we’re often taught to see our brains as processors, storing and retrieving data like a machine. But Professor Davids challenges this view with an ecological dynamics perspective. Instead of simply processing information, our brains are deeply interconnected with our bodies and the environment. It’s about adaptive problem-solving in real-time, not just memorizing techniques. This perspective shifts how we should approach learning on the mats. #bjj #EcologicalDynamics #KeithDavids #AdaptiveLearning #FutureLearningDesign #BJJTraining #MartialArts #ConstraintLedApproach

Four of our student changemakers took time out of their holidays today to represent TISA by joining the Festival of Hope hosted by the European Azerbaijan School. They were happy to connect with other students and, of course, meet the Festival of Hope leaders and hear the inspirational words of IB Director General Olli-Pekka Heinonen. #tisaconnects #tisaaction #tisacollaboration #tisachangemakers #tisaengageempowerinspire

I’ve been a little quieter lately… it has been a mixture of working on ✨exciting projects✨… more on this to follow… and also enjoying learning! Since the new year, there have been lots of new questions and realisations were happening by the bucketload… it was time to explore and explore I have… and it has been ace! 👌 In just one month, I’ve been enlightened by so many exceptional and proactive change makers and brilliant minds, who inspirationally articulate their ideas for progressive change, in education, in a way that feels hopeful, possible and in many cases is already happening. The idea of being humble enough to understand how we are where we are and yet audacious enough to believe that change is possible came from an episode of the Future Learning Design Podcast. I realised that this is the balance that so many of these inspiring experts have achieved. It feels an important part of why what they are doing is working. Feeling burned and frustrated by the system, I’ll be honest, the humility and understanding is taking some working on, but it is worth the work, that much is clear. The audacity thing though… shedloads… and I am grateful to be learning that I am far from the only one in that, in fact, there are oodles of us, all over the world! 🌏 Thank you to 🌟@alexoneill_limitless , 🌟@futurelearningdesign and 🌟@drjamesmannion for the ‘too many to mention’ brilliant podcast episodes that have opened my thinking, expanded my research and have made me feel part of a community of people, who are proving that positive change in education is possible. #whatifeducation #learning #humility #audacity #changemakers #positiveprogress #progressiveeducation #pioneering #inspirational #aspirational #happyeducation #futurefocussedlearning #inspired #positivechange #makingthingsbetter #lovinglearning #hopefulnothopeless #podcasts

Today’s inspiration came from @futurelearningdesign with Tim Logan and the podcast episode with Dr Yong Zhao. “I think education is about creating opportunities that support a diversity in talents. I think education’s biggest mistake over the last few decades, in every country, is that we want to develop an effective and efficient system to FORCE children to learn math and science and reading and with that you basically narrow opportunities.” Dr Yong Zhao (University Professor in educational leadership, elected member of the National Academy of Education and fellow of the International Academy of Education and lots, lots more!) It is a brilliant listen (twice without stopping if you want to geek out on the details like me 🤫) full of lovely common sense statements and disruptive ideas from two brilliant, visionary educators. #whatifeducation #futurelearningdesign #dryongzhao #visionaryeducation #pioneeringthinkers #education #teachersofiguk #teachersofinstagramuk #disruptiveideas #changemaking #commonsense #makeitmakesense #lovelearning #opportunies
