I look at this every single day. It was given to me by the LAPD Homicide Detective who formally put to rest the unsolved murder of Bill Newton. Usually trophies and plaques feel kind of hollow but this emblem matters to me because it is so much bigger than anything I could have ever conceived…and represents the work of so many. To be able to play my small part is a great gift. Thankful to @mybrotherskillerfilm for telling this story.
Thank you to @variety for covering our film’s premiere. Focusing on the 33 year effort to solve the murder of Bill Newton. An effort by citizens in the LGBTQ community in Los Angeles. ❤️🏳️🌈
Our first festival Win!!!! ❤️🔥🏳️🌈 Thank you to the @outshinefilm jury for giving @mybrotherskillerfilm its first official win. This is a victory for everyone who holds out hope when it seems impossible to ever get justice. When there is a will there is a way ❤️ 🏳️🌈

Just before Halloween of 1990, the decapitated head of Billy London, a gay adult film actor, was found in a West Hollywood dumpster. For over 30 years, Billy’s unsolved murder has haunted his family, friends, and police investigators. Could new clues finally solve the mystery?

Devastated to learn about the passing of Celeste Dupuy-Spencer. A brilliant artist whose paintings tell the story of history unfolding in a fearless, painful, ruthless kind of way. A rare voice gone too soon 💔❤️
“A reckoning for all of us, this film about a 36-year-old case couldn’t be more relevant. While an effective piece of investigative journalism, My Brother’s Killer truly achieves a higher purpose by excavating the root causes of such crimes” - @glebborama reviews @mybrotherskillerfilm , @futureclown ’s “jaw-dropping, intensely involving follow-up to her 2019 film, Circus Of Books” which examines the gruesome 1990 West Hollywood murder of a 25-year-old man named William Arnold Newton, aka gay adult film actor Billy London. “What makes Mason’s approach special, however, is the amount of time she devotes to painting a full picture of London, going beyond just the typical “he could light up the room” clichés. For all those true-crime enthusiasts at home, the film includes “an incredible story of how a modern-day armchair Midwest researcher named Clark helped Rachel crack this case,” notes Heather. The collaborative work of this duo—and all the people who cared about getting London and his family closure—leads to a riveting conclusion and on-camera confession from someone hiding in plain sight“
