Workshops this Saturday May 9th: 🌱 Game, Image, Task 12:30-2pm An approachable, training-agnostic way to view and create contemporary physical performance. Under this framework, we think of game, image, and task as three distinct modes of action in performance: what a performer does. No experience required, all disciplines welcome. 18+. 💥 Toss & Towers 2:30-4pm In this workshop we will focus on toss (swing) and towers (stacks, two highs, three highs). We’ll cover more traditional skills and work our way up to some lesser known combos. Come prepared to play in groups. 18+. 💕 Acro Jam 4-5:30pm (donation based / PWYC) This acro jam is open to anyone with at least some previous acro experience! NEW WORKSHOP ALERT—Loosen up and leap with Full Out Formula company members! Sign ups are live for this add on—Physical Theatre Workshop: Partner Acrobatics - Weight Sharing, Counterbalances & Lifts (Otherwise known as best date idea ever!)(Or come solo and make new pals-partner not required🤸🏿‍♂️) Immersive and participatory. This workshop is for everyone! No prerequisites or prior experience with partner acrobatics necessary. We will explore different modes of partner and group acrobatics together as well as build tools for placing acrobatics into theater for enhancing storytelling. After a thorough and fun warm up, the workshop will begin with some simple counterbalances and weight sharing exercises, we will then use those building blocks to move into slightly more complex acrobatics. We will show you our versions of certain skills and then ask you to expand upon them.
