A beautiful place to end one year and start the next Hadn’t planned on going to Unrepeatable but so glad we did, it’s one of the best slabs I’ve tried so far 😍 Definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to give their fingers a rest and put their toes to the test

In 2020 I made a bit of a life shift and gave up full time ceramics in order to learn how to become a route setter for indoor climbing In the years since then I’ve still been making, but of course my two worlds have been totally separate. I was so chuffed when earlier this year @ollie_wragg asked me to set for the @bouldershack annual comp, but also to make mugs as trophies for the winners I loved working on this project. So satisfying to bring together the two things I love doing ☺️ Thanks Ollie 🙏 (p.s. I totally forgot to take photos from the comp set (having too much fun 😉) so the setting pics are from a selection of other times and places)

Two weeks in sunny Siurana with the lads 💛 What a treat to get to spend a decent amount of time on the rope after several years of mostly bouldering The few times I have been out sport climbing during that time I’ve struggled a lot with fear of falling. To try to sort my head out I’ve focused on doing lots of miles, only trying to on-sight, and only on routes that I felt were comfortably within my ability. I don’t know if this was a good tactic, but I felt like it was helping me ‘make up for lost time’ while pushing through fears because everything was always unknown I’m really grateful to Ben for encouraging me to put a bit of time in to something this time, and I shocked myself by clipping the chains on L’escamarlà without too much fuss. I was terrified of the falls at first and was tempted to leave it until I felt more comfy. But actually, it was pretty satisfying to push through fears and try hard at the same time. And what a sweet bonus to get back-to-back sends with him on his project next door 🙌 🚂 Now that the seal is broken I’m so psyched to push on, and see what else might be possible 💫 What an amazing crew! @benmogclimb @martinpsharp @tom.larkinabout @connorburnsidedrums @maxwell_or_callum @mr_cf and all the cats pic 1 ~ L’escamarlà, 7c+

Loved the process of solving the puzzle on this Cuvier classic. It seems there’s a sequence to suit every size but finding the perfect match takes some trial, and in my case, a lot of error 🧩👌 L’Anglophile, 7b
